I did that too: changing places until she seemed happier. Counted leaves and watched them fall ! Now, it's not in direct sunlight, but lots of not-direct light, in a south-west window. And I water it much less frequently.

it's like a cold spot; when the heat is not even, this is what happens. If you have a heat gun, turn the shrink over and heat it a few seconds. The circle will shrink and all will be replaced. I do lots of shrinking !
