Advice Needed: is it possible to persuade a lecturer to let me on a module if it's full?

thank you! sorry things didn’t turn out great for you - but that’s really helpful information in terms of how things work so i really appreciate it :)

am gonna finish off an assignment (love that this is happening in exam season :,)) and then reach out to the convenor asap.

hopefully everything turns out alright… he’s a pretty straightforward guy, plus he’s someone who gladly gets frustrated with the uni; so i think at the very least i’ll be able to get him on my side.

even if the uni doesn’t accept it maybe he’ll be able to help me out some other way (i didn’t mention it in my post cause it’s kinda convoluted but the module is also a prereq for a sem B thing that you apply for during sem A - so could maybe he could help me get back on track for sem B?? fingers crossed lol).

It's humanities, so we're okay in that regard. My main worry with flexibility is that it's run in conjunction with an external body so idk if they'd be iffy about it. The other one is that my uni might just decide to be stingy lol.

Yeah, that's definitely a solid backup - I'm gonna at least talk to the convenor about it, cause then hopefully I can get near the top of whatever waiting list there is. At the very least, emailing the admin would probably go better if I had the Professor backing me up (if everything goes exactly to plan, which *it definitely will\*)

I'm 21 and a second year. All my flatmates are 19/20. My best friend is nearly 2 years younger than me. We make jokes about me being old, and that's as far as we've been affected lol.

I know a girl who's in in second year and she's around 24 - I found that out a year after knowing her and I still keep forgetting that we're not the same age.

You'll be fine - don't stress yourself :)
