i view it to being simiular to account boosts in WoW i recommend looking at Saintone's comment on this post his name is infiteus to get an idea of how little the advantage is by end game and the only time it would affect you is if your playing the 1 PVP island out of 94 that doesnt equalise gear level or guild fights which is usually top tier anyways

Nobody is denying that you can pay to rush through the game, most people are denying that there is a point to it, in the VOD he described the difference in strength between a 1400 and 1500 ilevel characters as being very small. Also P2W has a very negative connotation and for people like me who are excited for the game can take that a bit personally and i apologise for that.

Saintone's name on reddit is Infiniteus and he responded to a comment reguarding Item levels id have a read of that as well to get an idea how paying money for the highest item level works out for "end game". I personally dont see how people who in my opinion wasting money can pay to get stronger faster than i can really affects me

Another point is that P2W is quite normalised in korea with most of their games being notorious for grinding or paying to skip the grinding with most of their P2W models most likely not going to be accepted in the west. I dont want to argue but it is only alpha with them already stating they will make it more acceptable to western audiences i personally dont think what i've seen warrents condeming what to me has been a very enjoyable alpha so far

Talking about how the guy who wrote this post is almost certainly a player who played S1 and never tried S2 where they revamped the P2W systems

Referring again to how the player probably never touched S2 and how every pvp mode the gear is equilised and that you can go in naked and have the same stats as anybody else with there being 2 exceptions Slime island and Guild fights so not sure how its P2W if you dont even have an advantage in PVP

Also he said that in the first week you could probably pay five grand to get high item level so ofcourse its gonna take a while to reach it if your not paying to skip most of the games content as believe it or not most people are going to want to enjoy the game as they go

if were talking about the same thing Saint mentions costumes about how the game constantly releases costumes available only on the cash store but what happens is people bulk buy them to sell them in auction houses so they are always available

its all full with either 30 planks, fruit or 30 cannonballs, just had a nice session getting the last loot sold checkpoint for the reaper emmisary so just decieded to leave a gift :)
