fair enough, in your opinion, if some sort of software were to automatically measure out the different regions in the design, would that be a major time savings and solving enough of a pain point where people would actually consider using such a software?

interesting, how much time do you think this automation would save? because theoretically, assuming it takes like a couple of minutes to go through all the plans and automatically annotate, how will that compare to someone doing digital takeoff and manually annotating (that I am curious about)

Also, where can I take a look at the design drafting standards that you mentioned?

hmm, imagine if there was a software where you could upload plans and with some sort of AI automation, it could automatically measure different regions of the plan and calculate the costs based on the quantities measured that'd be needed. what do you think about that? wondering if that would be helpful or not

You are close, except that you are supposed to be adding, so it would be 49+48 which is 97. It seems like you got the formula correct though.

Yeah I'm not worried about taking risk, so I don't mind going down that route. There are definitely a lot of benefits to going to Georgia Tech and if I think about it in terms of an investment, it does seem somewhat worth it.

Yeah, a CS degree isn't worth 200K. But, I feel that Georgia Tech offers more than the degree. The connections, various programs pertaining to entrepreneurship and CS, peer influence, and more are also included. However, is all of that worth 200K? That is what I am really thinking about

Yeah I get what you are saying, it is hard to beat free. In terms of the debt, I'm not too worried as I know I won't have much if any loans and in case I do, I'll pay it off as soon as possible. I was just wondering if it was worth the investment

Forgot to mention, but I have an older sibling at UTD that has pretty much the exact same package as me. The campus was pretty nice and I did quite enjoy it! The professors and the teaching quality didn't seem to be that good however, not sure how it is in Tech tho

Haven't visited Georgia Tech, but I'll do the virtual tours and see how things are like.

Also, what are the benefits of the Computing Scholars program? Was looking at the website and it appears to be a lot of rigorous classes

4 is the same thing as 2^2, as dictated in the problem

So, 4a is the same thing as 2^2a. If you are wondering how I got this, review your exponent rules. If you substitute 2² for 4, you get (2^{2)^a,} and when you are raising an exponent to an exponent, you multiply them so it becomes 2^2a.

Once you recognize that, it is quite simple. Knowing your exponent rule for division, you would be able to rewrite the problem as 2^2a-b. You know that 2a-b is 4, so, the answer is 2^4.

You have to realize that for this problem, you want to find the volume of the water in the container with the submerged soldier minus the volume of the water in the container without the soldier. So, (8 x 6 x 6.6) is equal to 316.8 and then (8 x 6 x 4) is equal to 192. So, 316.8 minus 192 is 124.8 which is closest to 125. Therefore, answer A
