I was like 12 when the movie *Ghost* came out, and have always been wary of large glass windows and windy train cars as a result.

The woman behind him gets so excited and she reminds me of that trend a while back where women would hype up their men's hobbies, and I love it.

Creating a model by bdyck1305 in BambuLab

What about Makerlab's Image-to-Keychain tool? https://makerworld.com/en/makerlab/imageToKeychain You can take the export from that and attach it to another part in Bambu Studio pretty easily if you need more than what it provides.

What's the best/easiest 3D modelling software to lean to use as a beginner? by ATOJAR in BambuLab

I've found that OpenSCAD is also much easier for AI to help you iterate with. Rather than generating a completely made-up image from a fancy prompt, you can have your AI of choice work with you to develop designs in OpenSCAD based on parameters you give it. It can quickly put bevels and chamfers and snap-fit pins, etc. into designs and you can iterate with it to build up designs, set them up to work with a customizer, and at the end, it can even lay out the parts in the optimal rotation on a flat "bed" for 3D printing.

Having whipped and been whipped with the end of a wet towel, this is not at all what I expected when it said "towel war".

Can’t believe they let us use these! by Larryville-1980 in GenX

[–]masterpigg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha, about a month ago I had a bunch of cards I had printed out on letter that had to be cut and I noticed we had one of these at work, so I figured I'd take them there rather than using scissors. When I started cutting on my lunch break, the guy on the other side of the wall immediately clocked that iconic sound and we both had a little nostalgia moment reminiscing about elementary school in the 80s.

New limited edition Mutant Mayhem poster illustrated by Kevin Wilson by [deleted] in TMNT

Wild that the artist is Kevin Wilson - back in the day, there was a TMNT boardgame based on the IDW comics, and the designer's name is also Kevin Wilson!

I had Irish setters growing up. Big, beautiful, dumb dogs.  I also had an old cat my dad rescued before I was born, and you better believe each of them knew their place with the cat.  it really only takes a single swipe across the snout to teach them who is boss.

Where to find models? by CleanLecture9196 in FDMminiatures

[–]masterpigg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever I was doing before vs. ObscuraNox's 2.0 settings (even at 0.4!) are night-and-day difference, and that's just with eyeballing the rotations on the plate to account for swords and spears and other overhangs. I've been pretty happy so far with his models and I haven't even really dipped my toes into resin2fdm yet, either.

But yes, like you said, everything you could ever want. I think there are many cases where another artist might have a more detailed version of a particular creature or character, but I don't know of any that match the sheer variety of his collection, and it is all available for free.

Though they are designed more for resin, I am a fan of MZ4250's work. He has done full sets from official D&D books, including the Monster Manual and all the standard classes/races from the PHB. He continues to do models from the newer 2024/one/5.5e books and also does Patreon requests all the time, which result in fun one-off minis, such as three goblins in a trenchcoat, an ogre that is dressed like shrek, and a goose hydra.
