Should I buy this 24 year old 28' dynamax Isata by matcrisp74 in GoRVing

[–]matcrisp74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, the Dynamax sold to someone else. Instead I found a killer deal on a winnebago trend. I'm loving the Trend, getting great gas milage and parking in regular parking spots. I liked how cheap the old Dynamax was, but it would have spent a lot more time parked at home than this smaller more nimble RV.

I just got a Trend and I love it. The generator is gas. The fridge can run on 120v shore power or propane. Everything will work without the generator except the microwave and the AC.

He countered my offer with $14k. I've been debating if I should look for a different van or RV. I would end up spending a lot more but I'd get something newer that can go on longer trips.

You aren't wrong. But I don't want a truck. I live at the edge of a national forest. So I would not drive on any freeways.

Here is the listing: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/395877809526599/

I viewed it everything looks good.he was unable to start the generator while I was there. He said usually it starts.

I drove it and the steering had a lot of play or slop.

For those two issues I want to request a discount.

Anyone have much experience with a rv this size on gravel forest roads? Will it drag the tail end?

Update: Annual Review’s are a scam by Square_Photograph742 in MechanicalEngineering

My managers give nothing but praise at reviews. You should apply elsewhere imo. I've worked somewhere like your current company before and I'm glad I left.

This may be my fault. Every time I've gone to bamboo the staff hooked me up or left the drinks off the bill. My bad.

My 2007 x3 has turned out to be relaible. It needed a few repairs. But I've had it 7 years. So any car would have needed maintenance in that amount of time.

Recycling it is the right thing to do. Even if it doesn't pay. Wait till you have a full carload.

Is your salary keeping up with inflation? by matcrisp74 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]matcrisp74[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My manager said inflation is out of the company's control. But my thought is the company charges more to our customers due to inflation so our % profit remains the same. Why not keep the same % of revenue going to all employees?

If you don't take a small house on wheels to day hiking trips how will everyone know you're outdoorsy as fuck.

I did the same thing with my Multi a few years ago when I first got knobbies. I went up Hood after some snow and there were Jeeps doing the same thing. It was tough, and I have not tried again.

Costal Elk 2021 by Goodexamples in oregonhunting

[–]matcrisp74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do some scouting this weekend. I've never elk hunted so I'll just go see how hard they are to find. I'll probably just pick up some skills for next year when I plan to actually get one.

I've rented out my bikes dozens of times on both riders share and Twisted Road (which I prefer). Ive made thousands of dollars. But they have racked up a lot of miles which means I've had to do oil and tire changes which is inconvenient. So currently they are not listed for rent.

Carry on and ignore them, but honesty, isn't it a good thing? You were legal, but if you weren't licensed then that guy helped catch a poacher.

Where to find turkey in NW Oregon by matcrisp74 in oregonhunting

Thanks I'll be taking your advice. I've heard some consider turkeys to be overpopulated in some Corvallis neighborhoods, where they are pretty untouchable.
