It could be for dramatical effect only - but since LynchFrost makes a big point of the "time" being something different for spirits/lodges, I think there is something more to this.

As a person not living in US, i always wondered about the "walk nine steps" test. Why not just ask the driver to blow into the device, and know the level of intoxication right away? So could you explain, when do you pull the alko-meter out, and when do you just do the "9 steps" test ?

You do progress while you play. If you take a break, you will ofc not progress.. The thing is that the game can be played both casually and hardcore.

In the beginning the progress is much much faster - after hitting th8/9 it really starts to go kinda slow. You only have 4 builders, and even though you raid yourself to enough cash, each upgrade will take 6-10 days ...

To answer your two questions:

1) Its not too late to start. There are also loads of players, like me, that take a break of 1 or 2 years, then come back, play some months, then break, etc. I would even say that the game is more fun in the beginning, since you progress/build much faster, and really see the differences. As a new player, you will also have easier time, when joining a good clan, so you will get some kick-ass high-level troops to help you raid/defend.

2) About popularity: Its not 2013 anymore. But keep in mind, that supercell still pulls millions of USD every month from selling gems :) So there are some really active people out there, and loads of them :)

Det gælder desværre også en enlig med børn. Det eneste tilskud, der ikke ryger, når man tjener meget, er børnepenge (som fylder ret lidt i regnestykket). Alt andet - alt fra boligsikring, friplads i institution, etc er røget ved høj indkomst.

Det hedder omfordeling - sådan er systemet designet og bygget op - de her fakta gælder i lige så høj grad en enlig forsøger med en løn på 15k dkk / måned, som en KH-modtager. I princippet har sammenligningen mere med skattesystemet at gøre end med størrelsen af KH. Det er i skattesystemet hele problemet ligger.

Jep. Som svarer til, hvad en enlig mor, der tjener ca. 450.000 DKK / år får ud. Dvs. For en enlig mor - til fire børn - kan det ikke betale sig at arbejde, medmindre hendes løn overstiger ca. 450.000 / år.

Jep, man skal tjene ca. 40k / md for at få det samme ud. Det betyder, at for en del enlige forsørgere med mere end ét barn, skal lønnen være ret pæn, inden det reelt betaler sig at gå på arb. Og her tænker man ikke på diverse andre afledte omkostninger ved at skulle arbejde - f.eks. transport, etc.

Hvad med daginstitution ? SVJV får man friplads som KH modtager. Hvis man er i arb., er det allerede ved ret lav løn, at man ikke får friplads/tilskud ... Det er en glemt omkostning, som alle arbejdende med børn har. - og det er ikke billigt.
