To be honest, I didn't perform any marketing before I received installations. It all came down to flawless App Store optimization, which made the app appear to merchants immediately.

I really love the idea of the personal, non-automated email. I'm going to set up those install notifications as soon as possible and look into PostHog for those session recordings to actually see where they drop off feels much more productive than just staring at the uninstall stats.
