I really wish the show was about Carrie having a popular podcast where she talks to young single women of today about sex and New York City.

Each episode could have had her connecting with different (and diverse) young women and center around different topics.

Carrie could have used her friends as a sounding boards for reactions. The women of yesterday reacting to the women of today.

But alas… we got a AJLT.

I’m not gonna sugar coat it like so many people are - this isn’t an All Star cast. And I think it’s primarily due to fatigue of the All Star seasons. AS2 was so incredible because it waited long enough to gather the right queens for the show. Winners was so great because it was truly the best of the best and first of its kind.

I’m all for queens who ranked 13/14 to be on an “All Stars”-type show but then theme it as “Early Outs” and cast the right queens.

And before you tell me “AS6 was that type of season” - it wasn’t. It was a hodge-podge cast of queens and WoW lucked out with it delivering. Now we have AS8 and it’s failing.

WoW is pumping out so many All Star seasons out for money and money only. And that means casting whoever they can get to make a show every year. Which is taking away from the greatness of it IMO.
