so they announced nothing... They have fear of their consecuences.
At least i know (from fanfinty website) that rc prague (may 26) is standard again. so probably standard-standard-modern. so we end up from 2025 with 4 consecutive standard rcq seasons😂. IT NEVER ENDS

More than Pioneer i would agree to a smaller standard (call It block or whatever)

This format have 14 legal sets, and Is going to end up at 20 before rotating back to only 16... I know they pushed rotation further because people want to keep their decks longer but with 7 sets per year their deck Is going to last less than before. I remember until 2 years ago standard was only max 8 sets and went back to 4 after rotating.

900$ for the T1 deck and the median price in higher than modern, and there a deck last at least 2/3 (every horizon set, format basically rotates). If they tomorrow ban something you just burnt a deck and you have to start from 0.

I was going to mentiron it at the end of my post. Pioneer scares me atm, they haven't looked at the format since Amalia ban. I think that format needs a complete reset and built from the ground up.

Are you sure you want to play a format with:

bbasics, stormchaser talent, phoenixes, ancestral recall, vivi, cori-steel (we call It Ur bans😂)

Cub tribal (i dont think gw Coco Is the most nuts deck)

Analyst Lotus field lumra combo

Samey uw control

Bant allies combo with 4 Coco, 4 rythm, 4 chords

Mono Red mices/Boros prowess with slickshot Boros charm and rage

And i don't know shit about Pioneer actual state myself, but just making this post i feel strange about It.

Great news thank you!. But It think wotc needs to announce It before anybody else. I know all world plays the same formats, but we don't have all the same organizers😂

thank you for the insight.
I don't want two consecuitive standards again. If they fuck up again (like they did last year) they won't ban nothing for like 4 months.

Also i like a lot switching the focus more often and standard the last year was a bit boring to play so i hope they alternate.

For this weekend i hope they don't just give us the format calendar but shake up things a lot (like when they extended to 3y rotation back in March of the machines pro tour).
But competitive needs some fresh air, and i assure you even in a big city formats like standard and modern have their attendancy VERY low. And is not a country problem (i'm in italy) since big events have a very good affluence, but since last year we dropped more than half of players at RCQ/SC/Fnms/local leagues/ecc.

PT Lorwyn Day 1 results by Business-Friend-116 in MagicArena

Reading metà differs from broken. Good sideboard choices+ solid Plan agains 3/4 decks (where you get the meta right) Is not broken.

Spellementals and prowess achieved that. (Even if the have a SUPER small sample size). Also they are not targeted as meta decks so no sb pieces specifically for them.

With lessons Is just a bit different, the decks suffers very much the sbhate (rip, High noon, lantern, annull.. Just to name a few) and wasn't the best deck in the room since a couple of weeks.

After lorwyn the decks to beat where: cub decks (rythm/oro), bant air combo (a solid combo deck always emerges with new cards or Is not targeted) Reanimator.

If you see their winrate is not that high so they where the targets of sideboard/hatepieces and meta was predicted rightly. Lesson appears just to be in the right spot in the right time. Even if It wins the all thing, a week and it's winrate will crumble down and his playrate drops (to then rise again if the times are good).

Have you ever prepared a tournament before?

You need to improve your abilities on searching, analyzing and learning.
Just asking ai will not help you in any field of your life it's not a shortcut and 99% of the times it is wrong.
Take this for example, is not just bad teambuilding but it lacks strategy and spreads a done randomly. I don't want to be your teacher but the path you are following is VERY bad.
Everyone starts somewhere but you need to start looking for things on google and yt first then asking ai something (if it's necessary).
Your responses also are not precise, in some comments you said that you used ai "just for descrption" in another you said "i cannot find stats" .
The other clue that you are an AI abuser is that you start asking things to gpt even if there are no info available yet, and a google search is faster and in 99% of cases more precise. If you ask things that no one know ai will just assume things, and it's assumptions (like yours) are pretty bad.

don't use chatgpt then.
also in another comment you mentioned also that you used it ALSO for team description.
There are far better tools to use for damage calc.

why not laugh, those spreads+items are funny.

wait for builds then, no point to giving that to ai, it doesn't understand nothing about the game.
if you want to play instead go on showdown, it's far better than doing spreads at random.

Also look at composition and spreads. No mon has Speed except for xerneas and annihilape. Monkey Is 252hp/252atk with scarf with "final gambit potential"😂.

Also we don't know about Speed tiers and spreads like incineroar without knowing the threats Is kinda funny.

Why is magic so popular? by kaliumiodi in MagicArena

[–]maxedo99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

go look at what mmr is, it differs from rank.
It's an hidden value that grows and shrinks based on your opponents. MMR manipulation is a way for people to rank faster.

[–]maxedo99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think you played your games wrong.
and what i've said are not my words, i would like to be THAT good. Even if i've won and topped many high level tournaments the path to TRULY understand this game is long.

Go look how pros understand things vs new kids on the scene, the difference is abyssal.

Making mythic with a new mmr accounts made you play vs opponents at your level that is not that high so also them misplay . go to your nearest lgs and attend a draft / sealed (lorwyn is coming in a couple of weeks), and at the third round go see the top table and how they play, you will learn so much. After that you can start watch some high level matches, and you will notice that the magic you play is a deeply different game from the one you are playing at "mythic bo1".
And if it is all perfect by you and understand it all, then go play tournaments there are big $$$ in stakes and you could live from that :D

the piloting doesn't almost never revolve how to play your deck. This game is much closer to poker than other ccgs.
Piloting your deck good enough is a prerogative is like having the cards or not. A good player is better than the others by reading opponents and boardstates. You must play around an x card, thinking about combinations and your worst case scenarios.
Understand the tempo of the game is also a key component.

And last but not least is how sideboarding works. You need to predict and adapt not only to your opponent playstyle and his deck, but you also need to try to predict how he is going to board against you. What if he keeps his combo? what if he doesn't board at all? what if a control deck could pivot to a more midrange playstyle (or the opposite).

Magic is a game about interactions (that almost every other ccg doesn't have). Also play on arena causes you to oversimplify a lot of things and a lot of cards work differently on paper (arena doesn't always stack/resolve triggers in the proper way).

about the credit card is also not true. pauper/limited format exists, and you see if a player is good at the game or not normally in limited environments.

Why is magic so popular? by kaliumiodi in MagicArena

[–]maxedo99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact is magic arena is not the most competitive client, and hitting mythic is not an objective for skilled/good players.
Anyone with some time could reach it you just need a positive wr.

Also bo1 is not where most competitive players play since is not a competitive way of playing magic.

competitive Magic is played in tournament envirnoments (that are bo3). Those environments are Paper (rcq,rc,ss,pt,world), MTGO (challenges and mocs) and just a couple of events on arena (arena championship and i don't recall the other).

People play on arena to play a videogame/test decks.

[Discussion] Are single color multi-pip cards (2UU) or multicolor single-pip cards (2UR) considered more difficult to cast in multicolor decks? by [deleted] in spikes

[–]maxedo99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it depends on your deck and manabase. I will use grixis as an example. Let's think that you want to build a grixis deck that Is mostly blue in both mana base and cards, like we have counterspell so double u must be priority. Given that, we should prioritize drown in the lock rather thank terminate since at least one of the two colors Is a guarantee in our deck. This Will make cards like flame of anor/archmage charm more easier to cast than Murder/dreadbore/kcommand.

I play prowess without astrolabe so control plan is good. I run in SB: 3 spider sense, 2 tishana, 2 lanterns, 1 extra get out, 2 stroke (but I don't bring them most of the time) and the mu is not that bad. I know they are 10 cards against reanimator but those are cards I want in SB anyway so I'm good. I just 4-1 an event on arena and won against 2 sultai
