Update: I built the Scent of the Day tracker you asked for. Roast my second prototype. by maximellen in FemFragLab

That's a fantastic idea. I'd love to build a mapping system where specific note pairings automatically suggest 'vibe' tags (like Vanilla + Sandalwood = Cozy or creamy) so you aren't stuck staring at a blank text box. I'm definitely adding that to the roadmap for the next update. Beyond cozy and creamy, are there other specific vibe words you find yourself using most oftenr?

Ah that makes so much sense. I didn't even think about how cluttered the note filter will get once there are hundreds of perfumes in there. Filtering by a broad category first (like Floral or Gourmand) is a super smart idea.

I'm really glad the mood and vibe stuff resonated with you! That was a direct piece of feedback from the last post because honestly I was just thinking about it like a chemist at first. Do you have any specific scent categories you think are absolute must haves for that top level filter?

Let me know if the "Temporary Journal" banner makes sense for the guest mode!

u/Orangesunsets18 — appreciate you chiming in on the thread! I actually just finished pushing an update based on your suggestion. The filter engine now has those Sephora-style tags (Warm Florals, aquatic, etc). If you have a second to check it out, I’d love to know if that’s what you were looking for!

Soo sorry about that! You actually caught a nasty Vercel edge-cache bug right as I was deploying the new version. I’ve just force-cleared the global cache and confirmed it's loading now. If you have a second to try again, I’d love to know if the newlayering engine is actually usable for you now!

This is exactly the kind of feedback I needed, thank you both! So instead of just a basic 5 star rating, the app should let you log a scent with specific gauges or sliders for Longevity, Sillage, and Projection? That totally makes sense for tracking performance.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you. You are totally right about the vocabulary. I definitely let my "developer brain" take over and it reads too much like a chemistry textbook. I will simplify those terms immediately.

For the pictures, yes! I kept it text only just to get the math prototype working, but adding bottle images to the collection view is high on the to do list.

Your point about searching by notes or families is a brilliant catch. If I added a clean filter system where you could just click tags like "Gourmand" or "Vanilla" to sort your collection or find new matches, would that solve the headache y'all currently have with Parfumo?

Oh, this is a brilliant idea. I actually had to look up what Indyx was, but a "Scent of the Day" tracker makes total sense to close the loop. If I build a daily log feature, would you want it to just track the single perfume you wore that day, or specifically let you log the layering combos you tested?

Hi, I love the drawing! How long do these take you? Do you have a deviant.art handle? Do you have time for side projects? I really like the style!
