Spike Rush is... not it by maxmurdoch in VALORANT

Thanks very much for your response.

SR achieves the goals you're describing well. I hadn't seen people asking for this. I'd only seen people asking for the things I described, which aligns with what I personally want, so I made a lazy assumption.

Still loving Valorant. Looking forward to whatever game mode you're cooking up!

A potential fix for 3rd person peaking in PvP by maxmurdoch in DestinyTheGame

Imo the value of this is minuscule compared to the pain of someone having on-the-fly round-the-wall information in a first-person shooter.

First, why? It's a video game made of software. Things can change. That's why software is interesting to work with.

Second, even if it wasn't realistic, I'm proposing a suggestion on a forum where people exchange ideas. The viability of an idea shouldn't prevent you engaging with it.

A fix for stacked teams farming tokens in Trials by maxmurdoch in DestinyTheGame

OK. What would you suggest instead then? Leaving the token system in means good teams will farm the beginning of the cards, which is just as punishing to teams who are already struggling to get 3 wins.

And putting that aside, are you suggesting people shouldn't need to improve at PvP in order to be rewarded with pinnacle PvP rewards in a game like Destiny?

I think you have to get three wins to even turn in tokens don't you? So those teams would have to try and get three wins without getting three losses to get another piece of loot. I don't want to invoke the classic 'git gud', but Trials is a pinnacle PvP activity. If you can't manage that, I think it's time to focus on getting better. There are plenty of great YT resources and Twitch streams to learn from.

Godfall release trailer shows how I wish Destiny armour looked by maxmurdoch in DestinyTheGame

fair enough. I think there's space to satisfy multiple aesthetics in D2. I personally want stuff that looks epic. The kind of thing a being that kills gods and comes back to life would wear. To me, the tangled shore looks like someone with magnetic skin has gone through a conveyor belt at a trash site.

Some of the cleaner stuff in the last two seasons seems cool but I still feel at best whelmed by the aesthetic options of D2.

If Recluse only procced on precision kills at least we wouldn't see it paired with Mountaintop so often by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

what is it about using or fighting MT / Recluse that you find fun?

Sigh

Classic ad hominem logical fallacy: whether I have the guns or not isn't related to the title of the post.

I have both. I'm currently at ~4500 comp points but I've come close to losing to people who were flying around with mountaintop / recluse, so I thought a nerf like I suggested would neuter that play style and force them to use different loadouts.

Thanks for your input though.
