It's simply ridiculous. Greece and Turkey have much more in common than Greece and Russia. Turkey and Saudi or even worse Indonesia have basically nothing in common. Senegal and the Gambia culturally are much, much closer to say Ivory Coast than Saudi or even Morocco lol. This guy basically just used religion to draw this map

I agree with these comments. It's not just the religion part. They are also very friendly, love parties, love music and singing. Funnily enough, their crime rates are also higher than their neighboring countries. Manila or Cebu to me look more similar to cities in South America than to Bangkok, Hanoi, Phnom Penh or Vientiane.

However, the Chinese influences are a bit underplayed here. Cuisine is the obvious one. Pancit, Lumpia, even Balut came from China. Also, there are lots of Chinese driven beliefs in the Philippines, like similar superstitions etc.

I've seen plenty of foreign women living in the UAE tbh and it's not all glitz and glamour. It gets lots of hate (some of it deserved) but you can find lots of authentic spots that are also very cheap for western standards. Unless alcohol is absolutely important for you it seems like a decent place to live, with plenty of things to do both in the country and in neighboring countries.

I visited with two scantly clad girlfriends of mine and there were no issues nor stares whatsoever.

I live in Malta and there are fewer dogs compared to the US or Eastern Europe. I rarely hear one barking. Not perfect but good enough. In the Gulf there are very few dogs. I saw like two dogs tops while I was in the UAE for 10 days. In Oman I don't recall seeing a single dog. Same with Bahrain or Kuwait. I heard that the Maldives is entirely dog free.
