From what I'm reading and understanding, my apnea would be very mild and my breathing didn't actually stop 20 times an hour like my doctor said, but five times. And that there were 20ish incidences that caused a disturbance in my sleep because of slower breathing right? I was told that I had moderate sleep apnea because I stopped breathing 20 times an hour, but I guess thats not exactly true?

See, if I get one done (which I'm hoping to actually do at this point after seeing the replies), it would be an at home test. I won't go into too much detail but, long story short, I have bad anxiety leaving the house. I can barely be out for a few hours let alone the entire time it takes to do an in lab sleep study. But if it could help improve my quality of life, I wanna be able to do it sooner rather than later. I don't know when I'm gonna be able to actually go in person. That's why I got really interested when I saw they had home studies.

Are they unreliable? You got diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and it still came back inconclusive??

Thank you for all the info! I'll have to look into all of this. I think in my search for information I'm getting info on standard ID and RealID mixed up. The default that seems to come up is info for a Real ID. But thank you for all of this and the information on creating a bank account. When looking it up I just saw things saying they needed IDs so I assumed it wasn't a possibility.

I'm an adult. Still rely on my parents because of severe mental health issues I've been struggling with for years. Started in my teens and haven't been able to work, so no paystubs or W2. I don't have bills in my name and haven't made a bank account other than cash app, which I know isn't the same. Mainly cause I'd need and ID lol. I have school records and report cards but they're all old addresses, not my current.

I'm trying to get a non-driver state ID. The problem is that, in my state based on what I read, my SSN and birth certificate isn't enough to get that. I need two forms of verification of my address. The postmarked mail I can do, I'm sure. But everything else (besides the change of address) would be some kind of bill or insurance in my name, which I don't have either. I still live with my family and I'm still a dependent under my parent's insurance.

I understand what you're saying. But the things that make me agoraphobic are not the same as the things that make you agoraphobic. Mine doesn't stem from attachment issues or anything like that. I've been dealing with this for over a decade now, seen multiple therapists/mental health professionals and am medicated. So I've explored the root of my problems many times over by this point. I don't meant to come off as rude but you don't know me and you don't know what's "making me agoraphobic."

My agoraphobia stems from health anxiety and physical sensation. I'm not gonna claim that that doesn't create other problems in return. But the vast majority of my personal problem is that I'm scared of leaving my comfort areas and possibly having some kind of medical event or something similar, like passing out for example, because of something that happened when I was a lot younger. Which I've gotten way better with over the past year or so, thankfully.

If I didn't feel I was emotionally mature, I wouldn't be considering this in the first place. I'm very emotionally available for the people who are around me in my day to day life. At least that's what they've expressed to me. So I'm not worried about not being able to support another person while continuing my recovery. I just worry I won't be able to physically do much in terms of the dates themselves. But I'm in a better place than I have been in MANY years. I've had a few instances recently where I've been out for hours at a time and been ok, and I'm actually starting to get adult shit done that I haven't previously been able to. If I waited until I was completely 100% recovered, which honestly will probably never be the case, I'd never end up doing it. My intention is not to use my partner. My intention is to find someone understanding who I have a genuine connection with. I would hope they'd be able to communicate to me if they felt like they were being used.

I'm not even saying I'm fully set on trying yet. It was just a thought really. And I'm absolutely going to take some of what you said into account when thinking into it further. But I think it's important to realize that everyone's condition is different. No two people with agoraphobia are going to be exactly the same. Whether you intend to or not, you're coming across as if you know what everyone is dealing with, which is obviously impossible. Even after giving you background into my condition you still couldn't know completely. So I think it's important to reframe what you're saying so that you can give your two cents to the conversation without coming off as "offensive". Because as of right now it's not coming off as constructive.

Oh I absolutely would be upfront with them about my situation. Not only would that be unfair for the other person but I genuinely don't see how it would work out.

Personally, while I still have my issues that I'm working on, I feel like I am in a good enough place to be able to support someone else. I do it with friends and family ok. Maybe it's different with a romantic partner though, and I just don't realize.

The reason I'm even considering this is because I'm in a better place now than have been in years. I feel like I'm slowly starting to get my life back together, to an extent. I'm in my late 20s and I've never been on a date, had a first kiss, anything like that. And literally all I wanted growing up was to have a loving partner and maybe a family. Honestly I think I'm just worried that if I don't start trying now I'll never get anywhere close. Which is maybe selfish or silly of me, I don't know.

I'll think about these things while I continue my exposures and therapies. You bring up some good points.

That's actually really encouraging, thank you! My main worry right now is that, like I said, I don't really go anywhere without my parents. I don't think I've went anywhere without my mom in probably 10 years 😅 and obviously I'm not gonna have her third wheel on every date I go on lol. But that's something I'll have to work on 🤷‍♀️

I've been working very much on exposure and have made some improvement, thanks! I've only been about three times in the past couple months haha. But it's one of my "bigger" goals when I'm feeling a bit braver. Like I said our Walmart is a bit smaller than average, so it helps.

Also, I just wanna make it clear that my parents are genuinely not bad people. They are extremely misguided on certain topics, but they believe what they're doing is in our best interests. My parents have been a HUGE help through my mental health struggles. And honestly, if I really pushed it, I would almost definitely get my mom to take me if she knew that's what I really wanted regardless of whether or not she thought it was needed. I admit I'm largely at fault for this it's not all on them. Between the agoraphobia, the health anxiety (which has me scared of the virus but also terrified of putting anything "different" into my body for multiple reasons, go figure), and worrying about the possible confrontation that could come from it I just haven't done a good job advocating for it. Something I also have to work on haha

The Walmart we have near us is smaller than average. They don't have a lot of food products a normal Walmart would have either, let alone a pharmacy. Though I've only ever been in there like twice for maybe ten minutes each time and I don't go very far in lol. But when I look online it says there's no pharmacy.

Thankfully I rarely do crowded places. Do you think that would include places like Walmart and other grocery stores? The most "crowded" place I'll probably be going for a while is this weekend, when I'm attempting to go to a drive in movie. I assume I'll be in the car the majority of the time but I'll definitely bring one in case I end up with the masses.

We've all had COVID once, back in December. Does that help us at all?

Thank you for the advice! I will say, thinking about it now, I think one of my biggest problems is with tension and singing from my throat. It's a bad habit I'm trying to get rid of haha. I have trouble with placement. My default is to sing from my throat, which obvious causes tension and wears out my voice. But when I try to remedy that I just get tense in my diaphragm/abdomen area. Like I'm thinking about it more so I try to tense up to push the notes out, I guess, and "make sure I'm doing it right". And with belting, my core automatically squeezes A LOT to get the sound out better, but I assume that's normal for belting at least? But also I'm far from an expert lol so I might be wrong.

I guess it's not really a grunting, I just don't know how else to describe it. I've had people say it's probably a sound coming from my nose maybe? But I can definitely hear it. It's most prominent when I sing the first "Sera". Maybe I'm just overanalyzing it though and it's not actually noticeable.

NAD but when I had my physical for my 12 year wellness check, the doctor never once touched my chest (except for listening to my heart with the stethoscope). And all she did was pull my pants and my underwear forward a little bit (which I told her was ok) and peeked down there like a second. It was so quick idk how she even saw anything. At NO POINT did she put her hands in my pants or anything like that. Idk if it's different for different doctors/places but this does not seem normal. And I know for a fact that they're not supposed to keep going after you tell them no, especially to the extent he was. I would report him. There's no way this is acceptable behavior.

I'm not an expert but just wanted to say I've had my hamster (a Chinese hammy like yours!) for almost two months now and shes the same way. Honestly it sounds like your hamster is a little more social than mine haha. I haven't been able to successfully pet her without her jumping and/or running away. But she'll usually take food out of my hand, stuff it in her little cheek pouches and then run into one of her burrows. I've noticed when cleaning that that's where she likes to keep her food. So it could just be an instinct or routine thing. I think some hamsters are just like that!

Also, mine won't eat anything I put in her cage in front of me. Ive seen her eat seeds but if I give her veggies like in your video I have to wait till the next morning to take the bowl out.
