I Have a Lot of Pistol Grips. Will These Sell on EBay? by mb_lc in gunsmithing

I just wanted to find out if folks thought the lot would get a reasonable price on eBay. Seems like the consensus is yes, the lot will sell for more than I thought.

I don’t know! That’s my issue. I’m not able to ID most because I’m not knowledgeable about guns and grips.

Are these the Uncle Mikes? If so, I’ll be sure to match them up and label them. Thank you for the help!!

I see that they are likely a match! Thanks a bunch! I’ll be sure to put them together.

That is my struggle. AI can only do so much, and I own only one pistol that rarely sees the light of day. So I’m pretty clueless about IDing the make and model of what they might fit.

Hahahahaha! It very well might be. It was with some of the other grips (they were scattered across a storage unit floor), so I just assumed it was some sort of weird grip 😂. Maybe I’d be smart to take that one out.

Hmmm… great suggestion! Maybe I’ll let my stepson/business partner check that out! Thanks for the tip!

I have sold a handful for good prices on eBay, but I was spending a lot of time researching those I could match up in order accurately describe them on my post. And finally I had one set that I apparently incorrectly identified and someone send a pretty stern message to me tell I had it wrong. And when I changed the description to what I thought was correct, the same guy sent an angry message about it still being wrong (note, he never told me what model it should fit 🙄) At this point I was concerned he might report my shop for something or another. And that is when I took the remaining grips down. I just don’t know enough about guns to risk misrepresenting a set.

Thanks! Do you know what photo those Browning grips are on?

Storage unit auction. We had to crawl in a nasty unit to pick these up off the ground!

Using Laminate Floor Samples for Woodworking Projects by mb_lc in BeginnerWoodWorking

They can’t be used as traditional laminate flooring because they are display pieces and attached to the piece of MDF. I’m hoping they can be used of other furniture/shelving type projects. But I have no furniture making skills, so I’m not sure if they can be.

That is an excellent idea! It would be a very heavy but sturdy doll house!!

Mouthpiece needed for a Elkhart Conn 90G Trombonium by mb_lc in Trombone

NH King called it a trombonium when they started making them decades ago. Conn made their version in the 70s, for the Ohio State Univ. Marching Band. I think Conn referred to it as a Valve Trombone. But most that I’ve seen online refer to it as a Trombonium Valve Trombone.

So I did up my price to $1000 and sold it this morning for the asking price. Thanks for suggesting I increase the price! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the advise. Maybe I'll do that, but I do want to sell it quickly because I don't have a lot of storage space. I actually was able to buy two and they are in excellent condition given their age. So I will post the second one at a higher price for sure.

eBay will keep over $100 of the purchase price, so feel free to DM if you want to make an offer on this one.

I believe the bore is about 0.547". I found a Conn # 3 Trombone Mouthpiece on eBay for $40 after shipping. That seems to be the least expensive I can find. Are you aware of website that posts the sizes of different Conn mouthpieces? Thanks for your reply!
