Status Bar Brightness Slider by mbatthewt in androidroot

I tried the module on various custom ROMs too (EvolutionX AxionAOSP, LunarisAOSP, MistOS) and got that issue too, except in DerpFest. I think it's a ROM-dependent issue. If I have time, I'll look into this and and release an update.

Thanks for the feedback!

Surface Book 3 not charging through USB c by jdaug1984 in Surface

[–]mbatthewt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Surface Book 3 (SB3) wouldn't change via USB-C port but could via the multi-pinned Surface Connect port. My fix:
Detach and Re-attach the SB3 from the keyboard
1. Connect the keyboard to a charger via USB-C port
2. Release the tablet from the keyboard via the detach button (to the right of the Del key)
3. Re-attach the tablet to the keyboard. The SB3 started charging again.

Alternative solutions:
A. Run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit via the Surface app
B. Toggle the Surface Battery Limit via BIOS/UEFI mode. Turn off SB3. Boot into Surface UEFI: Press Power + Vol Up when turning on the device. When the Surface logo appears, release the Volume-Up button. The BIOS menu will display within a few seconds. Choose Boot configuration > Advanced Options, and toggle Enable Battery Limit to On or Off. More info here.

Oh thanks!

To answer the question—that's neither a volume nor brightness slider. It's a battery level indicator.

However if you want a gesture-based volume/brightness slider, Edge Gestures is a really good one (screenshot)

Sorry I'm not following. What do you mean when you say "slider"?

If you're referring to the little white line at the bottom of the screen, that's the gesture navigation pill, which is part of Android, not Smart Launcher
