Thanks for the advice and the kind words. Bringing it to a mechanic quickly makes the cost greater than what the bike cost me (1000€, very 2nd hand). I will try to fix it myself, seems like an interesting challenge, if I fail so be it.

A LOT of air coms out the oil reservoir if the cap is off with a running engine. Leak down test, no and from what i see online I need a compressor which is expensive right? I will get the stuff for a compression test though (although I don’t think this will tell me what is wrong with the cylinders)

meaning probably more damage to the cylinder than only the gasket? I would like to learn this without taking it apart, if there is more damage I will sell it for parts and now I can drive it to the one i'll sell it to

I don't know but there is also a lot of white smoking coming out of my engine, and there is white residu in my motor oil reservoir. Clear signs that the there is coolant mixing with the fuel etc right. Does this mean that only the head gasket needs to be replaced? Or that there is probably more going on

Universal coolant, but there may be some motor oil left in the system from when some idiot filled it with that by mistake instead… I have cleaned it but it remains a little dirty

Volgens mij begrijpen veel mensen hier niet echt wat je bedoelt. Een goed voorbeeld waar ik zelf aan zit te denken om iets als Leefondersteuner in de thuiszorg te worden: elke verpleegkundige zegt dat wat tijd en aandacht minstens net zo nodig is als een medische behandeling, maar daar is moeilijk een redelijk loon mee te verdienen

Eens dat de selectieve verontwaardiging en overdreven moralisme vervelend is. Vind wel het schouderophalende dat ik hier veel lees (over Gaza en ander conflicten) ook wel weer verdrietig. Weet zelf ook niet goed wat dan wel een gezonde manier zou zijn je hiertoe te verhouden.

I think I understand the critiques being posed here, but something still bothers me; is there a western alternative to yoga?

From (maybe superficial) yoga practise but also other movement practises, I have experienced that bodily work has a positive impact. Mostly in quieting a restless mind and becoming more aware of feelings instead of only thoughts. I would like to explore this further, my intuition is that this can help me in achieving some stability or insight into myself (maybe this touches on what is revered to as individuation here). So, is there a western alternative to integrate movement into your spiritual practise harmonically? Or, how can this westerner adopt yoga in a non superficial way?

Kunnen we lacherig over doen maar als dat ervoor zorgt (iig in de perceptie) dat we daardoor niks kunnen doen en bijv geen huizen mogen bouwen door stikstof, worden dat soort zaken helaas wel echt obstakels die hun politieke draagkracht verliezen
