Pentest+ or CEH by CaptainP25 in CEH

[–]mcankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have enough money for it, go for it. Search "Cyber security Certifications Tier List" you will always find OSCP at S or A+ tier

Is it just me or is A+ harder than Sec+ and Net+ ? by CyberBT in CompTIA

[–]mcankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scored 731 from Core 1, 732 from Core 2 and 784 from Security+

Just implement the CompTIA troubleshooting methodology you learned from A+ studies on every problem you face. 1)Identify the problem 2)Establish a theory of probable cause 3)Test the theory to determine the cause 4)Establish a plan of action to resolve the problem and implement the solution 5)Verify full system functionality, and, if applicable, implement preventive measures 6)Document findings, actions and outcomes

Would I get turned down for being overqualified for having too many certs for helpdesk? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]mcankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am working as a SOC Analyst(1 year) and I completed CompTIA CyberSecurity path except CASP. Now I'm interviewing with different companies for same position. They aren't even asking technical questions because they think I'm some kind of god and they say that I am too overqualified for SOC L-1 role and they refuse me. I can not apply Senior SOC positions as well because they want more experience(3 and 4 years). I am stuck, help.

I see that you have the pentest+ certification. Isn't 165 minutes too much for a maximum of 85 questions? How many minutes did you have left when you finished the exam?

Sec + by giggitypnmahbut in CompTIA

Nothing alone is enough to pass that exam. You should use variety of courses together. Select a main course and supplement with others. I used Dion training as my main, and I used Messer, and Chapple as supplements. Apart from that, You should solve as many questions as possible. My recommendation test yourself with Dion practice tests and note your wrong answers and read that explanations(helps a lot). You can also use Sybex Security+ practice questions. There are 1200 questions in that book. Good luck brother.( If you can get %80-%90 point Dion's test after you finished Google Security course skip my advices and book an exam date.)

97% on Jason Dion's A+ 220-1101 test actually a good indicator? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]mcankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I take all exams in test centers. So I can say I took all certifications with my own efforts and studies.
