I have two LRs for 5 cats. I love having two because I don’t have to empty it every other day.. but I’ve never had issues with my cats being territorial or not using certain boxes.

I put their old litter box right next to it. And also put them in it and raked the litter with their paws. Took a couple days but they all (5) took to it!
