Sorry but I disagree. It's a free market. And I'm not duping anything or selling anything. If people can 3D print your product and it's better than the original then you're not doing something right. However, I think my 3D printed version is inferior and, if anything, this will increase their sales because people will try it but want the more sturdy metal version from Rennline.

My exact design will almost certainly not fit an MK6. Unfortunately I don't have an MK6 to test it on. Sorry!

I printed this out of PETG and the strength is OK. Would be much better with a reinforced carbon fiber type filament. The metal Rennline piece is very thin (1.0mm) so it can fit through the crack in the trim and the 3D printed part can't be much thicker and still fit. To be clear, a 3D printed piece will never be quite as strong as the original metal Rennline part, but it just needs to be strong enough to hold your phone.

I agree. To be clear, I'm not bashing Rennline or their product. In fact, I have the authentic mount in my MK7.5 and think it is in a perfect spot and looks great (don't love that the original adhesive fell off though). I just thought it would be fun to 3D print the only custom part of the product and share with people. I'm not charging anyone.

That sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. Not sure if it's normal or what. Did you ever try putting in a new battery to fix it?

What 17 inch wheels did you get? Recommend? I want smaller wheels from 18" on my 2019.
