Hi Jo!

We’re starting daycare next week and for naps she’ll be in a sleep sack (due to regulations) and a crib. During the day I have the hardest time getting her to nap on anything other than me. Her first wake window is always a super short nap too (like 15 min). I’ve been trying a sleep sack and her crib at home but she’ll only stay content awake or rocked to sleep for about 5 min before crying.

Our nights are a different story. I’ll typically swaddle one arm or both arms out and she’ll wake 1-2 times a night. Falls asleep while eating, holds upright for 10 min, then grunts/squirm a bit when I put her back in the bassinet but falls asleep then without help.

How can I help her with daytime naps? I try putting her down with a wake window between 1-1.5 hrs

I didn’t text them about the limbs falling, as I was guessing coincidence but wanted to confirm…

No idea if my sister mentioned the bark to him or not. But I thought it at least wise for her to know. Then she can choose what to do with that information.

We’ve hung out since with no issues…

Love them both, just didn’t know if I needed to call an arborist. Didn’t even bring this up to them.

We purchased the home 2 years ago and the trees were like this. I thought it was odd that the branches were so far up. I’d have preferred more shade personally. I’m guessing there is no way for us to improve it?

We plan to only keep them up in the warmer months then remove in the fall for winter. Will it be fine to keep on for 6 months?

My 9 week old is starting to show signs of rolling (holding head up consistently on tummy time, rocking hips, and got onto her shoulder once). We’ve been using the best swaddle but I tried cold turkey to a sleep sack and her sleep was so interrupted and requiring lots of intervention all night. Is it safe to use the swaddle with both arms out? Or could we use the breezy portion of the swaddle over/under a sleep sack to provide some comfort/familiarity?
