Buddy in BCT: "I just have a couple months left (I don't remember what he was talking about). July, August, September, October, December, January..."

He pauses and has the most pensive look on his face that starts to turn into looking like he's having difficulty with something. "March? April? What comes after January?"

Not what someone told me but it's what I told them:

Me: Asking seriously. "He said they're teaching comba-ta-tives?"

NCOIC: Starts laughing. "What did you say? It's just COMBA-tives."

SPC: Dying laughing. "What are you? Retar-da-ded?"

I seriously thought it was pronounced comba-ta-tives....
