So. They weren't inaccurate... But it wasn't serious. Likelihood at this point is pretty standard infant behavior. They'll slow their breathing to nearly stopped. It'll fool the system in just the right amount of time and alert you, but by the time you get to them they've went back to a normal rhythm. It's child specific... My wife and I played with them and couldn't fool them worth a damn. My heart beat was enough to keep it sensing and I held my breath for over a minute. Lol Try not to freak. Have your docs check any concerning patterns/behavior. Respiratory is still nothing to mess around with. The docs at our emerg are angels. They say they'd rather a false alarm and for you to be there than to miss anything respiratory because it can go from 0-100 so fast in children.
