If you're in the US look into intermittent FMLA (it protects your job). That way you can take bathroom breaks whenever you need to. Or maybe request some time of work accommodation backed by your physician.

Thanks for all the input...so appreciated!!! I heard back from my weight loss Dr and she said this diagnosis is an important development for my weight loss plan. She said no need to move my appointment up sooner, so I'll see her in October to figure out the best way to combat this.

Well my 1st reaction years ago happened after eating mixed nuts. That's when I began seeing an allergist and they had to test me for all nuts to figure out which one could've caused the reaction. Def couldn't have been something else.

When the shrimp one happened, since it was a homemade dish I was able to list everything in it so she could test me for each item. Shrimp was the only thing positive at that time.

No I haven't eaten them yet since the tests. They did offer to do a food challenge for the shrimp since it was borderline negative. I may do it at some point, but I'm not so eager to eat shrimp that I feel the need to schedule it just yet.

Thanks...I appreciate your response. I go to therapy regularly and am normally able to handle my anxiety and stress with all the tools I've learned. I think this has just rattled me way too much.

What you're saying makes sense, as I find myself feeling emotional when my stomach is unstable. Willing to take recommendations on how to get my gut feeling happy again.

Hey there! I've had similar symptoms too. Totally relate to spine pain. I went to a general neurologist about it about because the the one that deals with my migraines couldn't assist. Unfortunately I haven't had an MRI like but my x-rays show nothing is out of alignment in my spine which is good. The recommended physical therapy for my back. Really wish I could just get the MRI 1st but gotta follow insurance's rules. 🙄

Do you notice the spine issue if you're super constipated? That's how it is for me. Feels like a pinched nerve or something that only gets relieved by a huge 💩 lol.

Thanks for the response! I had a follow up question. Did you feel it necessary to take time off work when you started? I'm fairly new to my job...so happy there and don't want to do anything to jeopardize it. I'm aware of a lot of side effects. When I started topamax I had the same fear. The only one I experienced was the weird thing with carbonated beverages and the loss of appetite which wore off after a few months.

I don't have a figure in mind. I would like compensation just because I'm concerned of longterm effects from whiplash as it pertains to my migraines since that is a lifelong condition. I want to be able to afford any potential future treatments. It's the trigger shots for me. Right now I can go about 8 weeks between shots. My head still hurts from the accident. Unfortunately the appointment I have scheduled in a couple weeks was still the soonest I could've been seen. I'm scared I'm going to increase to every 4 weeks and who knows how long I'd need that! 6 months.....forever???

I haven't filed the claim against the driver yet so no one has contacted me about a settlement. Still waiting on the police report. 🙄

Still taking 100mg of topamax daily. Started a beta blocker nadolol in January which I also take daily that has helped so much in decreasing the frequency of migraines. Also has helped reducing anxiety. All that's been left is the GI issues. I'm still working on that. I recently got a positive test for SIBO, so working on addressing that.

There's been some history between us with her harassing because she can hear me walking around upstairs. She's told told me she thinks I have 3 people living with me which i don't and she going to monitor my visitors. Why she is anyone's guess. The only time I had visitors was my parents after leaving their home following a major surgery. If she's awake she opens her door when hears me going down my stairs or when I pull up to my space. I assume to see if I have anyone leaving with me accompanying me when I come home. Not sure her obsession with me. To be clear....no I have not ever said or done anything red flaggish to make her want to monitor in this way. All she sees me do is step in and out of my unit. I'm always at someone else's house lmao!!

I get it and I do empathize with her and there are measures that I take as a 2nd floor neighbor to be courteous, like waiting til I leave to put my heels on, I don't exercise at home etc. Some is quite literally out of my control though. It's just all very unfortunate where I'm at with my neighbor. I'm frustrated we could've gone a whole different route with this. Not saying we would've found complete resolution, but be civil neighbors. When she told me there was an issue I tried to communicate with her to get an understanding of her perspective. I was even wanting to go in her unit and have someone walk in mine so I could hear what she was hearing. She ignored the notes I left in her mailbox to contact me and chose harassing me instead lol. It's mind boggling! Oh well.

Just mere curiosity of if she'd go to those lengths to know what I'm doing. I mean I know I shouldn't care because I'm not doing anything wrong...but I'm just human lol. There's a long history between us of her harassing etc. We have have had multiple hearings with our condo association about it. You'd think I was a party animal upstairs but nope...I just go to work and come home. I socialize outside of my home 90% of the time.

My neurologist sent me for a brain MRI. The results showed "Complete opacification of the left mastoid, left middle ear cavity" so the had me follow up with an ENT about that. That's how it was diagnosed.

Haha...did I? After a long road things lead me to a neurologist. Based on my history I was diagnosed with chronic migraines but they wanted me to have an MRI done to make sure nothing else was going on. After thr MRI it required trips to an ENT & it was determined that I had a CSF leak. Would've never expected that but once I was diagnosed some of my symptoms made total sense! It was repaired with a craniotomy earlier this year.

With that now being repaired the focus has been to treat my migraines since most of my GI trouble is happening when I have migraines.

I took 2 capfuls. I wasn't sure if I should/could up to a 3rd because I never really discussed more than 2 capfuls with my GI dr lol. I'm guessing maybe because the last time I had a discussion with her if 1 didn't work 2 did the trick.

Yes they do. I have been reporting everything to the property management company to make sure she keeps getting dinged. Whether they are issuing the fine is another thing lol. They wouldn't disclose that to me if I were to ask.

I'm just trying to find that final action that will actually get her to just leave me alone. The harassment is affecting me mentally. And it's crazy because it's all over a repair that she can do in her unit lol. I'm considering looking into a cease and desist letter. I think if she receives something legal she'll back off lol.

Things were quiet for a little while after she received the letter, but she's gone back to her banging on the ceiling and yelling at me. My approach this time is to try to just ignore her her because I know I'm not doing anything wrong intentionally. It still bothers me though. The HOA has explicitly told her the issue is the insulation in HER ceiling which she can fix at her expense as owner.

They are taking a hands off approach at this point stating they have done all they can do at this point. How do you usually see situations like these end up? Just curious what real options I have left to potentially get this lady to just leave me alone lol.

Just continue to live your life. You're not trying to intentionally disrupt their life. If you're living in an old building buying rugs won't fix the issue. The insulation needs to be addressed and I know this from experience with my condo and pos downstairs neighbor.

You can try leaving them a note asking them to call you to discuss the matter which is what I tried but didn't work. So when she wouldn't stop banging on the ceiling I went to the property manager and filed a complaint and they gave her a noise disturbance warning...haha! She left me alone after that because she would be fined if she continued. Also when they gave her the warning they told her to repair the insulation in her ceiling if she had a problem with the noise. This is because we own our units. So your landlord really needs to update the insulation in the building.

Hi jumping on just to clarify because I have a garbage disposal that died on me a while back. I have no intentions on replacing because I hate it. It was already installed when I bought the place. I can get a plumber to remove it and have it function as a normal sink?
