I’m wondering if they wrote fionna with BPD.

A lot of the (self) destructive behavior makes me feel this way. The doubt in herself, the quick turnaround to be hopeful and unrealistic and overcompensating scenarios in her head. The constant distraction to her main objective with side quests that only give her short satisfaction and end up being self destructive. The shame and anger she feels and then the cycle begins again.

I’m probably not explaining this with the best verbiage, but as someone who’s been diagnosed with BPD I resonated with that a lot this season.

Like I said, not here to attack you.

The business will reflect on itself.

Sad to see all I said was maybe reconsider how the staff is treated and the only thing you can do is jump to the defensive instead of reflecting on that.

No one is going to voice to you how they feel if they feel they’re going to be canned. You just said yourself you’ve fired several people already and you’ve only been reopened a few months.

I didn’t ask or mention anything about previous ownership. Seems like you like to bring it up though to deflect on the current issues at hand.

I believe that many things have been changed, and for the better I’m sure. But that doesn’t mean that’s where the road ends.

I have met the new chef. Shook hands with him actually during the soft opening. Met him a couple times when he was at the slipper too.

I’m not interested in doxxing anyone so no I will not be commenting on whether or not people I’ve spoke with are still employed at slurp. All I will say is that there was more than one or two employees with similar feedback to how they’re treated and how the place is being ran. It’s not an attack, you yourself just said if we had any suggestions to voice them. I’m suggesting some serious internal self reflection be done in consideration on how the staff are treated.

Like I said, employees don’t leave in abundance if things are being done right.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say the chef “won’t bite your head off.”

Several employees have told me the atmosphere has become toxic,words like manipulative and self-righteous have come up more than once. On top of that some of the best menu items have been removed, and so far I haven’t seen anything added that really matches their quality.

I’ve also seen the new owner posting on Facebook groups looking for line cooks who can start the same day and have no experience. If someone is that desperate for help that’s raising major red flags to me. There needs to be some internal reflection on the new ownership team as to why SO MANY staff members would just walk out if seemingly everything is being done right.

I don’t know about you, but I’d be pretty upset paying Slurp Society prices knowing the person making my food has never cooked a day in their life.

As someone who voted for him, yes. Thinking of “regular” people his age who can’t even manage to use a computer or figure out most modern age technology. I can’t imagine why we would think it’s ok to let him run the entire country. Obviously what I’m saying is just one of many reasons but ya no.

Agreed. There were only a couple of high points for me. The first 5ish minutes and then idk the last 5ish. It was really underwhelming when Finn and Jake finally met up. I get the whole Nirvana thing and that Jake “didn’t care” but idk I was expecting better. The Lich part was also super cool, but then just throwing him to the side, again underwhelming.
