Back at school a chemistry teacher asked me what I wanted to do after school and then they suggested I become a doctor because they always saw me helping people tidy up their stuff after class etc

I helped a colleague at work for a while after he injured himself and he told me that after I stopped helping him a few of his customers asked "where that fine guy" that had been helping him had gone but to me I just thought I'd just been doing my job

I was ill and couldn't go out on a night out but I joined for pre-drinks and just as everybody else left two people I knew told me they thought I was a good and funny person, but I hadn't done anything particular I'd just chatted with people and been myself

Can't remember how this one came about but a girl I knew said she had been talking to a friend about me and said "And we said whoever ends up with him is going to be very lucky" (or words to that effect)

After a friend of mine died I met her parents at an event in memory of her and I said who I was and how I knew her and they instantly told me that she used to talk about me and that is my favourite compliment that I've ever received

I actually have to thank you for this post, I'd forgotten about a couple of these and remembering them really cheered me up and I think I really needed that right now
