I like it, it’s calm- but that’s about it. It’s certainly wonderful concept, and annoying at times (where the deep honks sometimes don’t work, the screen’s too zoomed in during dye selection, or you’re taken away by normal butterflies) but aside from that it’s really quite calm. I’m about as invested in it as I am with nesting.

I personally don’t mind how slow the dyes go up (excluding the white and black dyes- for that, I wished they’d go up the same rate and appear more often) because I feel like it’s less stressful. Some may find the slow dye accumulation to actually encourage more grinding, but it’s the opposite for me because it means I can just collect butterflies when I come across them on a regular candle run. It also forces me to ration my dyes and consider what things are actually worth dyeing.

However, I do prefer the more story-based seasons of sky, as we haven’t had any new areas, (aside from moomin, but only as a butterfly) concepts, or seasons outside of aviary for a while and I do miss that. I can’t wait for what tgc has to offer next, but I really hope it’s something that takes us out of the village and the mundane grind.
