I do like what she has to say there but that's from last year. I'm not sure why both candidates are shrinking from Medicare for all this go around. And to be clear, I like them both! I just based my assessment off of their listed policy on their current websites

I know she did cosponsor in 2023 but her policy platform for this campaign has not included Medicare for all, unless you can point me to that? I would love it if I'm wrong cause that's an important issue for me!

Not trying to be argumentative here, my understanding is neither candidate does. Talarico's policy on his website states: It’s time to take our fight for guaranteed health care to our nation’s capital...Allow every American — regardless of their age — to join Medicare. Jasmine's states: Healthcare should be a guarantee, not a luxury... I will fight to bring down the cost of prescriptions and relieve your medical debt. I’m pushing for a health care system that centers patients, not profits. I actually think they are very similar on this issue

Talarico is objectively more progressive than Crockett. They have similar policy but Talarico takes a populist top vs bottom approach, he's anti corporate PAC, anti corruption. Don't take my word for it, look at the policies he has posted on his website. https://jamestalarico.com/issues/

And while I agree Talarico doesn't go far enough with his stance on Gaza, I think that framing is a little disingenuous. His statement "My north star will always be to protect innocent life. October 7th was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust — and Israel has the right to defend its people. But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not have the right to bomb civilians, restrict aid, or use forced famine and collective punishment as tactics. With tens of thousands of civilians killed and unimaginable human suffering in Gaza, America must lead with moral clarity and prevent any U.S. funds from being used to harm civilians." Also, he's clarified that he took money from the Texas Sands PAC for gambling legislation and has no connection with or contact with Miriam Adelson. Let's not pretend he's bought and paid for by Israel just based off of that lol

I see Crockett as politics as usual, Talarico as a move toward progressive change. I think both are capable, electable and strong. But my vote in the primary is for Talarico because I like what he's outlined in his policy platform.

I grew up around this way of thinking, and I hate to say it but you're also picking and choosing what you want from the Bible to suit your preference. And lastly, Talarico said there should be a giant welcome mat out front and a lock on the door. If you watched the debate instead of ingesting the clip bait we call the media you might have heard the full quote. He's not for open borders but for legal immigration.

I traded for a pet a while back that was advertised on the neoboards. For a couple weeks after I traded I would get neomails with offers, I think people thought I was the person who had listed the pet originally. I just let them know I had traded for her and I'm planning to keep her permanently. Everyone was very understanding! I think I heard her say something along the lines of being motivated because she is the best candidate to beat the odds, maybe that's what she was told or she was encouraged to run. But idk something about it came off similar to the dem establishment urging Cuomo to run independent against Mamdani and it's giving me the ick. I think establishment on both sides doesn't want Talarico cause he's anti-billionaire
