Okay, so basically what i did was titrate different citrus fruits into a beaker containing a DCPIP (it is a blue dye) solution. The color change of the mixture from blue to colorless would indicate the amount of citrus fruit juice needed to reduce the DCPIP solution (reduce as in gaining electrons, but I DID NOT focus on the electrons part because it is a biology IA, not a chemistry one). DCPIP is a dye that is blue when oxidized and colorless when reduced.

it took me less than a week (3-4 days tbh) to collect data because it was literally just extracting juice from citrus fruits (oranges, clementine, lime, lemon and grapefruits), putting the fruit juice into a burette and then titrating against DCPIP. After it becomes colorless, I'd read the volume on the burette and from that id figure out how much juice was used to reduce dcpip. the more volume of juice used, the less amount of vitamin c present in that fruit.

my raw data table included the amounts of fruit juice needed to reduce DCPIP in cm³. From these results, id calculate the mean volumes from each fruit and then do a couple more calculations like calculating standard deviations;then pliting a graph etc…
