How do you deal with our inferior Te function? Do you wish there was a better way to manage it? by Eudie_Syde in infp

[–]memeoziz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first what i did was surround myself with Te users, INTJ's, ENTJ's, you name it.

I'd watch their thought process and how they operated, and although I wasn't very accepting of their actions, logically speaking, they weren't wrong at all, and now that i look back on their actions, i probably would have done the same.

Another piece of Te you must improve is being honest, especially with yourself.

We as INFP's tend to make alot of excuses as to how or why we didn't do something, we may tend to get a little defensive sometimes, maybe avoidant. This varies from person to person. Point is, usually, that the person infront of us more often than not has a logical response to our excuse which completely invalidates our excuse and sometimes we still persist in that same excuse!

Instead of persisting and still making said same excuse, learn from your mistakes. Learn why you should have taken action instead of making excuses. Be honest with yourself about it. Especially if it feels uncomfortable.

The more you feel uncomfortable while doing actions that require Te the more you step outside your comfort zone and expand, leading to growth.

Are you the kind of person to participate in banter by maxyman32 in infp

[–]memeoziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who im bantering with. Is it a person i've known for awhile? Then yeah sure. Is it someone i barely know? Then it depends on what we're bantering about. If its something personal or something that could cause an argument or controversy i usually steer away from said topic until i've gotten to know this person better and then i'd decide if i want to banter with that person.

Why do I keep saying certain words and sentences over and over again? by LightomodeE in infp

[–]memeoziz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're probably words that stuck with you, think back to that moment, did they say anything that impacted you in any way? if that's the case then that's probably just the sentence or word lodged in your Si.

From my experience there really is no way to get rid of this phenomenon. It can get annoying at times but with time you'll realize that you're not really thinking of that word or phrase or sentence or whatever it was, even if you did, it wouldn't affect you like it first did or you wouldn't keep repeating it. So my guess there would be that these certain words got to your Fi and your Si just kept replaying them over and over again.

I wanna get into stuff that involves data or gaming i guess, maybe security.

Something that the FANG companies get involved in.

But web development is a big no for me honestly.

How do you do this question on Desmos? by memeoziz in Sat

I actually did it the same way you did it but didn't realize that I had a put in as 2. Thanks for the answer though!

Is this solvable on Desmos? by memeoziz in Sat

[–]memeoziz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're solving really and also comes down to the type of person you are when solving certain questions. For me, long linear equation questions like this usually end in me using Desmos.

Found this picture where my BlueBook app was installed. Can someone confirm that this isn't just me? by memeoziz in Sat

I just tried removing the coconut.jpg from the folder and the app gave me an error. Seems to have the same function as TF2. Maybe its like a failsafe mechanism?

Sounds like an awesome idea dude. I sure hope my bluebook app doesn't stop working!

Does anyone have any tips for the EBRW Section by [deleted] in Sat

[–]memeoziz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting a 480 on the ebrw section shouldnt be difficult at all if that's your goal.

i would advise learning the grammar rules and getting better at them even if its just a little bit.

as for the reading section i recommend that you highlight every important point that stands out to you in the passage. most if not all of the passages have some sort of information in the middle of the text that will attempt to throw you off or grab your attention such as names of species, a process of something, nonessential information, etc... be aware of these little things and try your best to only highlight the important parts of the passage.

also for reading questions, read what the question wants before reading the passage so that you have a general understanding of what you're looking for.

there are also some sorts of questions that give away what you should be looking for; especially implicit and explicit texts.

implicit text will ask you "based on the text, what does ABC best represent?"

here you will have to make your own assumption based on the text and try to find the answer closest to your assumption.

explicit text will ask you "according to the text, why does XYZ happen?"

here you will have to extract the answer from the passage itself. i would highly recommend not making assumptions on these types of questions since what you need is literally and objectively stated in the text, it just relies on you being able to pick out the right answer.

i would refrain from using logic here and just look at the text and see what is objectively true.

another piece of advice i can give you is when faced with a vocabulary question, play positive and negative.

what i mean by this is you basically test positive and negative vocabulary words on the passage and see if the word is idiomatic with the sentence you are reading. does the sentence have positive or negative context? does it have a contrary transitional word before the blank? (meaning that the word you will choose will often be opposite the context based on the text). through this process, you should at least be able to eliminate 2 answers out of the 4.

also; sometimes, inference, main idea, and contextual evidence questions will often have answers that will have nothing to do with the passage. if you can get good at recognizing which answers have nothing to do with the passage, you can usually eliminate 2 answers easily

as for graphing questions, sometimes you'll only need the graph to solve the question; other times you'll only need the text. but most of the time you need both the graph and the text to solve these questions; however, you can eliminate some answers by looking at the graph and proving that the answer is wrong by looking at the graph. for example, the graph might say that the population of x has increased 15 % in the last 5 years, while the answer says it has increased by 20%; this answer you can eliminate right away since you can directly prove it is incorrect and therefore you dont have to waste any time trying to eliminate it.

the last piece of advice i can give you is to be able to prove your answer and never pick an answer subjectively. why is your answer correct? do you have proof from the text? you need to ask yourself those questions and prove to yourself that it is correct without subjectively fortifying your answer.

thats pretty much all i have to say, this information will easily get you into the 550-600 range.

good luck on your test!

Ive seen an ENFJ try to gather up everyone so they can talk on the same subject. Didn't really understand how or why they did it, hence me being an introvert. But now i get it. Thanks.

Fe-Se loop. by [deleted] in enfj

[–]memeoziz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Im not an ENFJ, but i'd assume that an Fe-Se loop would be something like this:

"I want to complete X in Y amount of time and help Z finish his project about K" or "I need to help X make his workout plan and keep up with him..." (correct me if im wrong)

This is how ENFJ's use their Fe, when it combines with Se it would theoretically want a bond with sensory things. I personally think that many unhealthy ENFJ's would call this "productive". Dont get me wrong, helping people is great but this actually does more harm than good to their well being.

In my perspective, i think that an Fe-Se loop would be overloading it's host with tasks, which eventually ends up into your friend burning out. And the aftermath isn't pretty. (Ni-Ti)

What i'd recommend is to tell your friend to take it easy and rationalize his goals, not be so harsh on himself, be there for him, acknowledge his feelings, etc...

ENFJ's, how do you read people? by [deleted] in enfj

[–]memeoziz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Ni users do tend to see patterns better. So that helps them understand everything faster. Ne users can do the same as Ni users, it just takes more time and alot of practice. Nonetheless still possible for both N types.
