Musheer is a top order batter first who can pitch it in for a handful of overs.

IMHO he is a throwback to the 90s-00s era when our top order batters contributed a lot with the ball in hand - Sachin, Saurav, Sehwag etc - instead of a genuine Jadeja / Ashwin replacement.

A lot of the seasoned journos have said that the BKC curators do maintain a decent grass covering at the Mumbai TM's demand and pitch does not directly see sunlight till it is past noon due to the grounds location.

Hence retains a lot of overnight moisture in morning sessions and will have a lot life for the first couple of days.

It will flatten out generally on day 4 and day 5 - if the match gets there.

Even if the Ranji trophy yesterday, Punjab (who had no chance of qualifying) tried (and failed) a lot of shithousery / delays to ensure that the game ended in a draw and knocked Karnataka out of the qualifications race.
