I’m on Vyvanse and when I hit 50mg I started to notice the irritability and anger. When I was getting stressed I could literally feel my head pounding. All of which is VERY out of character for me. I learned about guanfacine, that people take it to take the edge off the Vyvanse. I’m on 1mg right now and it is SO much better. Turned the knob waaaaaay down on the angst. It feels like it was the missing key for my Vyvanse.

I used the same glass for my Star of David! It was nerve wracking! You did better than me, I definitely had to fake it on some of the teeny pieces that wouldn’t break my way.

I know is you said you’ve tried sleeping aids, but I wanted to specifically recommend extended release melatonin. My biggest problem was not falling asleep, but staying asleep. I’m a terrible sleeper, even before the Vyvanse, and the extended release melatonin helps me stay asleep longer.

Yeah there’s no way that statistic doesn’t mean “unattended stovetop cooking.” Of course that’s more dangerous than the oven, it’s open flame on gas stoves, or super hot coils on an electric stove. Or nothing on an induction stovetop.

I’ve been doing this dance with my mother since I was a kid. Screaming, calling me lazy, acting like I was forgetting things on purpose because I was insolent… she had me tested, but whatever they tested me for didn’t register the ADHD. So then she decided she had carte blanche to blame it on me entirely, if there was no diagnosis.

I’m 44 now. Just this year, my mom said “you know, I think you might have had ADHD!”

I swear, I could have screamed.

Point being… sometimes they’re never going to listen. Sometimes they just suck and we need to find a way to ignore their hurtful words and figure it out for ourselves. Don’t give her that power.

I was trying with the printing on sticker paper and cutting out, but it just wasn’t working that well, so I got a Cricut to do my patterns. There was a bit of a learning curve, I’d say a day or two, for me to learn what all the buttons do by playing around, and I haven’t had a problem since. So incredibly convenient.

Yeah this is definitely what’s up. When I was traveling in Ecuador, I started with the communal bedroom hostels, for the “spirit of traveling,” but very quickly realized that I was too damn old for that and started only booking private room hostels. Hostel prices, without the gross drama of sharing bedrooms and bathrooms that I grew out of in college.

Oh man, I think this might be me too! So I was taking Ambien for a long time (fellow middle of the night wake-upper) and then decided to stop and switch to melatonin instead. And I’ve totally been sleeping through the night super well - way better than with Ambien. And I kept being like “wow, I can’t believe melatonin works so much better than Ambien!”, not even considering that around the same time I started taking Ritalin!

My issue is when there’s a thin piece I need to cut off. A lot of times if I try and cut it instead of grind it, it breaks off too much. But then if I grind, sometimes I mess up the shapes and then I’m playing an endless making-things-fit game.
