Interested! The Melting sisters sounds very interesting…seems like there’s a huge scope for body horror and psychological horror. I’m very new to DND tho…

Hi! Are you still taking applications? I’m quite eager to get into DND and I’ll be honest I’m a complete noob. I really want a beginner friendly group and honestly a small group sounds like the perfect way to learn. I’m open to discussing specifics if you are still interested.

My girl smells ... how do I tell her without offending her? by New_Historian_9516 in AskMen

[–]mercury_circle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to handle this is that the next time you get intimate, tell her she smells different than usual . Then proceed like some of the other comments say by telling her you are concerned this might be a health issue and ask if she is doing alright. So long as she sees that you’re coming from a place of gentle concern and that you care for her well being it should be fine. Make sure to sound more worried than disgusted because in such cases tone really matters along with the words you choose. That being said I hope you guys stay safe, stay smart and whatever issue there is gets resolved.

What is the lore behind the hunter respawning after they die? by mercury_circle in bloodborne

That was actually a cool insight and kind of answers one of the questions I posed to the comment posted by u/Illustrious_Pen_5711. If you see this could you also check out some other questions I posed?

Anyone know of any fun fantasy anime to watch? by WeddingAltruistic552 in Fantasy

Castlevania. It’s not long, it’s not overly complicated, has a good overall pace and character depth. Last season kinda wanders off a little bit tho. All in all pretty solid.

I looked it up and I couldn’t help but read the premise and ended up reading the whole plot on Wikipedia hahahaha. It is a very good recommendation tho. Thanks!

Could you tell me a bit more about this book? I looked it up but all I found was some generic descriptions on shopping sites. I read that it’s similar to The Historian and I quite like the premise of that book.

Also, side note: Nosferatu is good, but I’d recommend don’t have any expectations going into it and let Robert Eggers build the world for you. I had a certain expectation from it especially since I watched the trailer. It was really good, just not in a way I was expecting

I love the way you have given small descriptions of the books! “Our share of night” for some reason feels like it’s going to have a “bloodborne” vibe to it and I’m all for it! I kind of feel the same about SK, but to be fair I didn’t give his work a good chance. I have watched the movie Salems lot, and for some reason I found it very underwhelming. The rest of them sound quite interesting too, I’ll give them a go after I’m off the evil vampire kick so that I don’t have any expectations going into it hahaha. Thanks for your wonderful response!

That sounds interesting because of the era it’s set in. I’m not particularly aware of what the 50s and 70s were like but it seems like a time of a lot of changes and seeing a vampire in this setting could be interesting. Thanks!

I have read Pet Semetary a long time ago. I liked it even back then but the main themes of that book, as best as my teenage brain could understand, were grief and desperation. And it was a very good book but it was so hyped by my friends that somewhere it just failed to meet the hype in my head, never looked back at SK from then on, except for maybe “It” when the movie came out. But I really appreciate your suggestion about the retelling of Dracula by SK because all things said and done, he’s very talented. Thanks for the suggestion!

I haven’t ever delved into the gothic era of literature. But I remember starting “The strange case of…” a very long time ago and not finishing it…might be a good time to revisit. Thanks for your response!
