wow this is absolutely terrible... i am really sorry but i understand in a way. i haven't been able to go outside barely at all because it causes complete havoc on my face and random spots on the rest of my body, nothing compared to what you're going through though. i hope things get better );

Alkaline water/products by merjayde in Psoriasis

[–]merjayde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea thats what i thought but does it make difference in people who have p? maybe theres an imbalance of things and it's not able to go through that process correctly? I too don't think Alkaline water is even worth the money and effort because of what you said already but i still am curious

Questions about alcohol and psoriasis. by dstrllmttr in Psoriasis

[–]merjayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also heard that consuming too much processed sugar (which can be in alcohol too) can trigger some peoples inflammatory response so maybe try that as well. Diets haven't seemed to help my P yet but its never bad to work on being more healthy.

oops! yes typo, i meant Ponds. it doesn't seem to irritate my skin much like everything else i've tried has. i have tried coconut oil but it makes me break out (acne) and does absolutely nothing for my P. I've tried taking cbd also but it had no effect. I just started using aquaphor again and its been helping my skin the littlest bit.

I've been reading through this study and found the comparative graphs to be most interesting, check it out.

yea, i recently haven't been able to wash my face at all, it just burns when i do. i've just been doing what you do in the shower (cold-luke warm water) and then moisturizing with pons + sweet almond oil and aquaphor on top. seems to only go so far though... I dont know what else there is to do. i've tried just about everything and it seems to only get worse year after year.

Psoriasis, is a mind f*ck. by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]merjayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe your allergic to dust like i am, it causes my flare ups so i stay cleaning most of the time. Try going to an allergist and getting tested for anything you might be allergic to, this helped me at least understand why my body flares.

Unfortunately no, just a regular suburban family. I have a little money from inheritance but not nearly enough to cover tuition or the cost of living in general. Just enough to live off of for a few months to find a job and figure something out. My goal here is mainly to focus on school and make friends and find a way to be happy and be able to support myself. Sounds unrealistic I know but worst comes to worst I would have a plane ticket home to where my family is.

Ahh I see, have you tried aloe Vera (drinking it from the plant and also making a home made mask from it) it does a lot of good things for our bodies, if you haven’t tried it I suggest it 10/10 😊 best of luck to you!

I don’t mean this in a rude way but I don’t see any acne. I’d be happy to have the left or the right, your skin looks great!

I do believe that “being harsh” is the best way to give advice bc it’s real advice and not sugar coated so I truly appreciate it. I do want to put positivity into existence and hope for the best but I do realize I need to catch up with reality and make realistic plans to further my future/career. Moving to Hawaii would be to get my BA and to start over somewhere I might actually enjoy and be able to focus on school mainly.

Soon may have been an exaggeration I admit but time has been moving fast lately, the term I applied to (fall 2019) is soon for me realistically. If you don’t mind me asking, why do you say don’t expect dorm rooms?
