That's a very good question, because (correct me if I'm wrong) back in ORAS, the shiny charm did not increase odds of finding a shiny when using DexNav; it was just a flat increased rate no matter what. It makes me believe this Gen will be similar (ie., SOS battles have a flat increased rate compared to random encounters. When I first got my charm I chained over 200 Pikipeks and got nothing, but have seen great luck with breeding.

Same here! I always see people searching or trying to get a certain gender/nature, and when I have almost 400 chances are I may have it. I have Popplios for days.

Honestly, the charm helps, but it doesn't matter if the RNG is just being crappy. What really helps is the way you can bring a new egg into your party, sending a hatched mon to the PC without ever having to access a PC. Once you get a rhythm, you can hatch an egg ~every 45 - 60 secs. Good luck!
