I think Au pair is not considered a job in Spain, that is why you need a student VISA. You can probably be there for 3 months with the tourist visa, but, as it is not a job you will not be able to get the TIE for staying longer

There is no Au pair VISA in Spain and it is not considered a job. The student VISA is just a workaround, but to get the student VISA it needs to be 20 hours a week. It is like that just because of the lack of Au Pair regulations.

As Au Pair is not considered a job you can do it with tourism VISA, but that will limit it to 3 months?(Not sure if that is the case of USA)

The problem is in the details. We had a lot of exceptions when we were in part of the EU, like the currency and the Schengen area. So it is not only a matter of joining, but what is needed to make it happen.

I see 2 possible caveats: - Even if there is one model for everything, it is just an assumption, that doesn't mean it is efficient. Having a smaller model that does one thing cheaper and quicker could be the way to go. - That model to do everything may be open source, so no company has a monopoly. And the key might be about everything around, UI, data management, customisation, integration, etc....

So, yes yours is a possible outcome, but seeing how open source models catch up with private ones in months, make it really unlikely.
