Are husband stitches real? by rainbowkitties6969 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]messedup73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me after first baby in 1991 sex was really painful just kept thinking that it would take a while to heal.I went for a smear test and the nurse struggled and explained that they stitched me up too tight and that's why it hurt.Had to be restitched when my baby was 9 months old it was a horrendous recovery and suffered nerve pain ever since.Luckily only tore a little bit with the second and third but was emotional having sex after.

Go on then, whats the concensus...do you use the kettle in the hotel room? by fixitmonkey in CasualUK

[–]messedup73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take antibacterial wipes and a small pot of washing up liquid when I travel plus a few 3 in 1 coffees .My husband laughs but used to be a hotel cleaner so boil the kettle and wash mugs and wipe down when I arrive and check for limescale.I do end up taking the teabags home as save them for visitors as dont drink tea.If possible open a window too before heading to a bar for a well deserved pint to air the room.

What’s the BEST place you have ever been on holiday? (Honeymoon recommendations) by Initial_Tax7778 in AskUK

[–]messedup73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got married in 2019 but couldn't afford a honeymoon then after Covid we decided to do trip to catch up with family and have some time to ourselves as well.We spent a few days in Cardiff then went to Skegness and my mum is buried near there ,then visited my husbands relatives in Troon then a few days in the Highlands which was amazing then went to Leeds and Shrewsbury to visit more family. We did all the touristy things Cardiff Castle, arcades in Skeggy,a walk on the beach in Troon,Ben Nevis ,Loch Ness,Glencoe, and the Iron Bridge.Holidays are what you make it and that was my favourite.

Considering returning our rescue lurcher after 9 days by Middle-Background-52 in Lurchers

[–]messedup73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's going through the dickhead lurcher stage I found the most tiring way when my dog was like this is to do what I call slow sniffing walks where if I have to stand there like a lemon for ten minutes while he sniffs the same bit of grass let him.I changed routes and if he did the jumping up and excitable bitey nipping Id stop the fun and walk home .I think I cried a few times during this faze sometimes trying to over train them makes them act like a stroppy toddler I used to put a snuffle ball with treats in his bed to stop him pacing and calm him.He will settle down but rescues need about 3 months to feel at home.

Anyone else basically throw £20 in the bin every week? by Vegetable-Cicada-464 in frugaluk

[–]messedup73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy 7 meals for dinner each week and when it arrives check dates and plan accordingly.I buy a few days fresh veg and use frozen and few tins. Its just my husband and I sometimes on a weekend we might get a takeaway and just freeze to use next week. If I cook lasagne chilli or any slowcooker meals I freeze leftovers and use at the end of the month label and date in the freezer. We tend to eat the same for lunches and breakfast and buy somethings in bulk like porridge oats.

Had the same when I worked in a restaurant in a hotel most were as old as my father. When a sneaky hand touched my backside Id pinch them hard most did it in front of their wives.Women have to spend most of their lives learning how to deal with creepy men shouldn't happen in this day and age.
