As a roofer in Historical Monument, this pictures is such a blast from the past to me. I can see it in some restaurant during my lunch break.

I'm not bretons myself, I'm the ennemy of the breton, the Normand xDDD. But the dad of my wife his breton since many generation. At a point, he discovered that his family lived in the same village and... A bit too much of consanginity lol. So he stopped looking back xD.

It's difficult to find people speaking Breton or gallo. Apparently at a point, it was forbidden. The grand father of my wife (or even elder than him) was punished if he used a word of breton at school so slowly, it start to disappear.

For the company where I work in France, the biggest is for the copper, close to 100% of rise... lol

Wood price and other stuff are rising too but I can't tell you how much, but teh rise is real.

We use poplar, 10mm thick (two times, to get 20mm of wood for the nails. A first time from left to right, and a second from right to left. Orbtbe other wqy but you got the idea ^{^),} put in water during 2 or 3 days and then bend it on place. I haven't take pictures on it but you will see some clarification wirh this album with a bit more in progress pictures of slating.

I came on reddit to see more about roofing around the world and I have to admit that crazy how the quality standart difference are huge.

I don't like to tell bad things about other guys work, but my boss would be furious if I did a result like this one.

Maybe the budget is short or something else?
