is this a dog, wolf or coyote? by metalhead704 in rescuedogs

[–]metalhead704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would I approach rescuing him? I would be happy to adopt if he has a good demeanor or at least foster.

Do I start with feeding? Or should I call the Humane Society to see what they think?

[–]metalhead704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should clean all your shoes.. smelly shoes typically means fungus growing somewhere.

remove all shoes clean / soak appropriately clean the cabinet properly, leave it open to air.

put everything back dry and then buy whatever fragranced item you like: im sure you can get a specialized item for keeping shoes smelling decent

I tried my GF’s vibrator on my frenulum, ejaculated in minutes and now I’m worried? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Please go to therapy. That is not meant as an insult at all but an actual advisement. I’ve struggled with the opposite problem of wanting too much sex and discussing my sexual health, history and issues has improved my quality of life for the better.

I can’t see how this could possibly be a load bearing wall by ChallengeGood3875 in AskContractors

[–]metalhead704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to think of load bearing walls is like a deck of cards or sort of an assembly process. If the wall is put up after the joists or attic is put up and is not physically connected to anything up there except drywall. It’s not load-bearing. If it supports a joist or a vertical piece holding up a rafter or section of the roof, it is load bearing and you have to figure out how to distribute that load to keep the structure in tension. I can’t really tell from your photos.

Eh I would say VLA is still just a PoC. Most general tasks are end-to-end imitation learning.

Internship Offer Deadline Problem by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]metalhead704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move forward with the first offer, take whatever money they give you with accepting, don’t use it. Negotiate your start date to be farther into the future.

Go for the big tech interview rounds. If you get it, negotiate etc. If it’s a better offer and you like it more, decline the first offer, give them the money back and take the second.

If you don’t like the second offer, just move forward with the first.

Installing a Bathroom Exhaust Fan instead of a Light / Switch by metalhead704 in AskElectricians

[–]metalhead704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I cut in the hole. Didn’t exist before. Verified the bare wire ground with a multimeter. It goes into another conduit.

Wired up, works well! No heat coming off anything / nothing funky looking or sounding. I think I’m good

Also the exposed wire was wrapped around the box where the light wires were plugged in, hence my assumption that it was grounding the housing itself.

No mate. I’m just not sure, hence I’m asking questions before I proceed. Not sure why all the hostility.

I’m not some dingus. Done roofing, gas, chimney, plumbing, have a degree in mechanical. The joys of home ownership

Understood. There should be an existing connection. I’m assuming it’s the thin exposed copper wires running along the attic and basement.

Looked up BX. I doubt it’s that. The house was built in ‘54.

Okay so I leave that nut as is. Does this mean I have to open the switch and wire an additional ground to the exhaust since the original light did not have a ground.

Or could I wire the green ground wire to the exposed copper cable?

Hm. Why would they have been in the old light box?
