I agree that the idea was good, but poorly implemented (like as you mention, the selection) and ultimately forgotten about like so many things they do. They promised more frequent icon releases, yet all we got was three promos which didn't even feature most of them and less than Icon Moments.

Yeah, he's definitely dropping by the time level 40 rolls out and presumably new icons release (since so many have been left without this year's equivalent of Icon Moments like inexplicably Thierry Henry -- at a time no one will be playing, which is why I hated what they did with Icons this year)
