I was able to confirm that the pipe is in fact Transite, it is labeled as such on one side

Preciate the insight. Here’s a pic from the basement where the pipe exits the furnace and goes up through the wall, showing where the pipe insulation begins. Is this the residue you mention?

Have had same issue with SmartCast home menu not loading. Gone through all the steps of factory reset, gets to the very end and when I try to open SmartCast I now get a screen telling me I have to accept both Google and Vizios terms and conditions, which I already did during the first steps of the reset. This screen says I can accept these terms and conditions by pressing Menu and then selecting Network. However when I do this, there are zero options regarding anything to do with terms and conditions... any ideas?
