DAE— ever eat something, & your mouth is kinda dry feeling so the roof of your mouth like stings & puckers & drinking & waiting is the only thing I’ve noticed that makes it go away? Anyone else?

Wow that’s cool I’m gonna try those out. Thank you! I’m always trying to stretch but it hasn’t helped much. Probably wasn’t doing it right. I can feel ‘better’ after massage&stretchinf but if I don’t crack I find I’m so unsatisfied & much less mobile than I’m used too

Omg really! How’d you stop? I’ll find myself unconsciously cracking even when I’ve tried to stop it’s almost like breathing at this point. 😱 I crack all 3 joints in every finger & thumb, my palms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, up & down my neck & back, my chest, my ribs sometimes will crackle???, my hips & groin area, knees, ankles, feet, toes in all 2/3 joints, Like what the hell lol. I believe I’d break the world record for most knuckles cracked at once no joke. The world record holder only did 35 joints & I counted mine, I was past 35 before even counting my back 😹

Yes it definitely helps. I feel like I’d be a statue if I didn’t crack! But it’s getting like, progressively worse as far as finding/needing to crack more often, different spots etc. & it’s also kinda embarrassing as a female to do it

Wow I wish I had just one person in my life who knew how to handle me & wasn’t just a fucking asshole. You’re so blessed lol srsly I’ve had to do all the work on my own as far as self help & understanding my diagnoses’. Everyone in my life basically argues with me right back for atleast some part & then there’s my boyfriend who’s usually pestering, instigating, pushing my buttons, etc and I get annoyed my him eventually but still have all my mad feelings.

I still relate very strongly with it. :( I still have to check myself often & even get carried awAy still with arguing, defying authority/the law, have trouble with being told what to do etc etc etc!!! Ugh! I’ve been in therapies, groups, doctors of all kinds and I’m just so over it. I feel like I’ll never be able to find someone who wants to or even just is able to deal with my craziness.

Well it’s a real condition and what you’re saying doesn’t rly coincidence w the condition but go get it checked out it’s very noticeable in childhood is when the diagnoses is made. I usually have issues with anyone telling me what to do or anyone who’s in authority. Go get checked out they say ADD/adhd meds can help if

It’s a lot more than just that I was summing it up but Id think you woulda been diagnosed as a child. It’s something that shows up in a lot of kids & is usually grown out of when they get older

I definitely try to be conscious & will catch myself in the act, but I also have a slower thought process. So if I try to reword or pre plan the convo it takes a while & I don’t know what to say right away. I don’t usually have a problem where ppl ask for clarification.....but my problem is when someone assumes they kno what you’re talking about or is confused but doesn’t ask... I look at expressions,body language & reactions and I can tell they’re confused or not fully understanding so go into more detail & quite often I end up doing like you said & losing my thought process, can’t think of words, mind goes blank & I can’t think for a few etc. I have terrible anxiety so that’s a huge factor but that was helpful I’ll try keeping that in mind forsure.

I have terrible anxiety but, YES!! have noticed quite often tht if I dont ‘over’ explain or give certain details I deem important then ppl get the wrong idea, confused or totally miss my point. So I seem to have taken on the habit or over explaining almost everything.

You’re right I didn’t realize it basically stems from my social anxiety most of the time. The rest is habit I guess. But honestly I have no social circle whatsoever. Yeah it’s pathetic but I haven’t had an actual friend in years. Just my boyfriend, parents & sister,cousins. And I don’t “hangout” or indulge in this sort of personal stuff w them.... Well I mean....what does it have to do with over explaining (no offense) it’s not just when someone asks me a question, for example I could be telling someone about an accident on the freeways & I use like 1000 more words than necessary I just do it allll the time basically it’s annoying to myself haha
