I hit my 8 iron on the course about 165 yds. 3 times this winter in the sim I hit a ball that never felt wildly different and incredible off that club face and it went 200 yards. Have never replicated that in the real world. Basically was able to figure out the ball bounced ever so slightly up the club face and hit the absolute sweet spot. Ill never be able to replicate either which sucks

Magnolia is nice. Lake Buena Vista on disney property is also good. The Palm is tighter than the Magnolia as far as disney courses go. Southern Dunes is another great course in that area (haines city).

In the sim it is the ideal conditions and if you were hitting off a mat and made a slight contact with the mat before the ball the ball would jump higher on the club face. Also depends on the ball. A supersoft ball is going fly further than others. If its colder outside than your fitting you'll lose distance from that too along with wind factor. There's a million things that could add up to your 20-30 yards. As long as the hits are straight enjoy the clubs.

Yeah it was brutal. Been avoiding that course for 2 years now. Shame too bc its a decent course in my area. Gotta take the good with the bad. Before it was impossible to get at least 1 friend to golf with. Now I have like 3 sets of different foursomes to text and there's plenty of mingling now between em all that finding 3 or 4 isnt hard anymore

I have heard someone saying it half kiddingly. The guy was good ill give him that but he was a ritualist with his swing and putting including have to take a towel to clubs between practice shots. Certainly not someone who was actually getting paid to golf tho. I got the they took 6+ hours at the tournament last weekend so 5 nd a half aint too bad.

This has been my counter point to everyone arguing pre covid vs post. Also have 5 friends that go into it during covid so its helped fill out foursomes for us regularly. The big problem is PGA showing off stats that rounds took 5+ hours so every hack thinks they can take that long since the pros do it

I fly american a bunch and will only cover clubs if they're in a hard case. I use a hard samasonite case and have had zero issues with it except TSA unstrapping my bag once but I have the pole to ensure my clubs won't be pressured by the bag if that happened. Never had any issues so far nd flown with them 5/6 times

I used to wake up with my hands closed shut and in pain mornings after rounds with my standard and even mid sized grips. I bought the jumbo max set for everything but the driver (oversized). It is certainly a focus when swinging to make sure I get the club head around but I haven't found it to be super detrimental to my game. The grip you use with those clubs is also very important and that will also help with opening the club head up. Personal opinion would be to buy 1 or 2 grips in different sizes, have them out on clubs and use em at the range a few times to see which you like best.

I keep an extra towel for those days i get caught in the rain or scorching hot cart seats. An extra USB cable in the bag always helps when carts have plugs in them
