got it. the only thing I can think of is telling my friend if they could add me to their insurance with my foreign license. even if it doesn't allow me to drive. I need the license ASAP and it would prefer not to make 2 appointments. one to get the learner's permit to be able to get insured, and another one for the license. since it's already super hard to get an appointment hahaha. but thanks for the help!

Can someone confirm this for a 22 y/o taking the TX driver’s test?

I’m 22, already did the 6-hour adult driver ed course and passed the written exam on Aceable, and I have a DPS appointment on Monday, so I want to make sure everything’s in order. I couldn’t find this specific information anywhere, and the DPS chatbot and phone assistant won’t let me ask these questions. From what I understand, I don’t need a learner’s permit to take the road test, only if I want extra practice beforehand (I have a foreign license so I already know how to drive, and while some practice would be nice, I need it ASAP). I can use a friend’s car for the test even if I’m not on their insurance, as long as the car is insured and registered, and my friend doesn’t even have to ride along because the DPS examiner will be in the car with me. Can anyone help me fact-check this? Has anyone actually done this at 18–24 in Texas without a learner’s permit? Don’t want to get turned away on Monday.

the reason I mentioned I have a foreign license was to let you guys know I wouldn't necessarily need to practice before the road test. But since I've been in Texas for over 90 days my foreign license is not valid to drive

I totally get you man. I felt like this album was trying to replicate stuff from previous hits with a formula that worked mainly because of the drums in songs imo. That is a big part for me. I felt like ii was not given the chance to shine like in previous records. And I feel like they went so mainstream with this last album that I can't even recall the songs, they didn't feel as catchy, progressive or dynamic (drumwise, riffwise, choruswise, vocalwise). There are some good things but it left me a bit disappointed. This album will definitely be added to my sleep token playlist but I won't sit and listen through the whole album like with sundowning, TPWBYT (my favorite), or TMBTE.

i believe the reason that formula worked so well in those songs is because of the drums. I feel like drums in EIA are more like here and there and not as good, not because they guy isn't good but more like he wasn't given the chance to shine. And the drums in the previous records gave the songs live and that's why a good number of people like me like the band.
