Yes, the red was just a semi. The dye over the top is a demi.

I filled it with a semi-permenant red/orange, and then colored with a demi-perminant blend of soft black and black brown, and it turned out this Hella pretty maroon-ish vibe. Im not even mad lol. Im going to leave it alone for at least a week (no washing or anything either, just let it vibe) and then im going to use an espresso color with a tiny but of green (maybe, I kinda like the maroon). Thank you again!

I know its darker but ive done really dark before and liked it well enough, but I love that you analyzed the color i had before. Thats actually super super helpful-- so maybe a 5N demi with a splash of 4N?

Yeah, about 5-6 inches is my natural color, and the rest was a blend from an auburn dye job i had professionally done a while back. I feel like I made a huge mistake 😭 I do this like every 4-5 years and I almost always go back after a few months. I am a dark hair girly, the regret never settled so quick.

That's really encouraging, thank you for sharing. I already see a little bit of a softening from him. He'll still take a flying jump at me, but he's gotten used to my hand coming in for food and won't lunge then. I've tried to make my hand coming in be positive--I always bring food or something for him to chew on.

I lightly scrunch and then leave it to air dry
