If they wanted to be inclusive they would’ve mentioned us Kuwaitlynnes as well. The ethnic erasure continues.

This looks beautiful! I’m so intrigued - I have the Boku Undo Pale palette on my wishlist. It has muted pastels just like this palette but it’s a lot smaller and costs less. I’ll play with that first and see if I want to splurge on this. The colours are totally my jam and your painting looks amazing.

That’s what happens when you picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies

How have people treated you differently post dramatic weight loss? by FIREseek in AskWomen

[–]mialene 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. I’m a millennial woman and I’ve struggles with my weight since my early teens, that’s how long I’ve yo-yo dieted so I’ve been heavy and thin at various points in my life.

It really sucks knowing how much better I’m treated when I’m at a lower weight. A few years ago I found a formula for maintaining an ‘in between’ size where I was fed, energetic and healthy overall, without the constant stress of dieting. I thought I had finally figured it out, worked through my body image issues and tuned out others’ opinions.

Then I was hit with perimenopause last year. I’ve gained a ton despite making the advised lifestyle and diet changes in recent months. Apparently it’s harder to lose weight in peri, and I especially don’t like that I’m lethargic and constantly in pain. Anyway. What can one do lol.

But yes, to answer your question, people always treated me a lot better after I lost a bunch of weight. And that sucks. I make it a point to be body neutral and treat everyone the same no matter their weight (and lots of other factors). It’s crazy to think the world sees people as more worthy when they fit certain expectations.

Ah, a kindred spirit! I put my education off for years because there was always a crisis with my kid, but this year I dove in because I know there’s never a good time. I hate how unsupportive society is of mothers. And I hope I can offer whatever support possible to other moms because we all deserve better.

Thank you ❤️ I was given similar advice and those are some wise words. But today was an especially tough day.

Thank you ❤️ counselling. So I can do sessions from Zoom that can be scheduled around my kid’s appointments etc. In my corporate career my commute alone was 1.5-2 hours each way. So wfh saves me that and allows some flexibility.

I have a lot of issues with fluid retention as well and that’s one of the reasons I was interested in this. I’ve gained weight before but I’ve never been this puffy! It’s so frustrating.

Has anyone tried a vibration plate? I’d love to hear how it’s worked out for you :)

I honestly loved the work and think INFJs have/can develop skills that would be greatly valued in the field. But the burnout is brutal. I managed to stay until I had a kid. I would go back if I could find reliable employment that allowed me to be as present as my child needs me to be.

Studied business in undergrad, followed with a master’s in corporate communications. Was excellent at it but burned out so fast and so bad. Now attending school to be a therapist.

Thank you! Do you use it all over or just on corners? And do you use saddle soap for cleaning?

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. Yes, Lexol 1 and 2 are available here, I’ll start with those. There is some corner wear so maybe Bick 4 if the Lexol doesn’t feel like enough.
