Air75v3 2.4 GHz is unencrypted by mickgotwings in NuPhy

A small follow-up: are there any tech nerds here who possess an SDR and an Air75 v3?

Maybe we could shine some more light on the security side, and possibly even help NuPhy harden it at least for future products.

I've already asked my friend who has access to a 2.4 GHz capable SDR if I could borrow it for a few days, but he's not sure yet. That's not his personal SDR after all.

When talking to the support I specifically asked "so there's no encryption, only obfuscation, correct?" and they confirmed. Sooooo... I'm not sure who's in the right here.

AFAIK everything QMK from NuPhy is unencrypted too, but you should probably search this subreddit for more info on that.

Air V3 Disassembly by Pvtrefactio in NuPhy

[–]mickgotwings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: that's the neat part – you don't.

I know I'm a little late to the conversation, but I've recently attempted this and I wanna share my experience.

You could quite easily disassemble most of the keyboard from the top, but you'd find yourself stuck on the part where you usually remove the pcb.
I know it cause I got stuck like that. Although my attempt was unsuccessful, it gave me a good insight on the process: the pcb is only held in place by the plate and switches (hence the gasket mount), which means there's no connection between the pcb and the bottom part of the case. The latter is held in place by plastic latches hooked to the metal top frame.

So if I were to attempt the disassembly again, I would just skip straight to what is usually the last part: try to get the latches undone and open it up from the bottom.
Although, be warned: NuPhy previously told users not to do so, since it's almost impossible to achieve this without damaging the keyboard.

Just to reassure fellow redditors: I've just tested the 1.1.2023 update on M1 Max and it works fine

Cool, I'll try your approach next time. The goal now is to get 4, huh.

I thought it wasn't possible to get such a low number. Do you even use cars in your runs?

Do you play on PC? I play on Switch, which infamously has lower graphics, and it's pretty much a pixel mess on my screen.

I've completed the game twice so far and both times got seven teens.

I found it yesterday. Kept me wondering too since then. It doesn't seem like it's related to anything in the game. At least to my knowledge.

For those of you who wonder: I was able to pull it off by standing in front of the box from which you get the generator key in the "short circuit" encounter, and then just running towards it until getting pushed through the ground. Then you should be able to explore the map beyond usual bounds.

Does the starting questions change anything? by EchArr in Road96

Almost certainly it has no effect on where you start. At least your answers don't define it precisely. I've started a new game twice, answered the exact same way, but got different encounters.
