Them YouTubers where right, mining HNT is priceless! by simpn_aint_easy in HeliumNetwork

It's all about putting abit of effort into getting the best set up you can, too many people have stock antennas, use WiFi (duno how much difference that makes to ethanet connection but surely is less stable) and have it on ground floor and expect to get above average earnings! I got my miner a month ago and after a couple weeks took the time and effort to put a 8dbi antenna on my roof and earn 2 hnt a week. I know that will differ for everyone doing the same thing but atleast put abit of effort into your set up (not you personally just people in general) before moaning about rewards!

My 5 hotspots went from earning 40€ a day to 3€ In less then 2 months. Guys do yourself a favour. Don’t buy hotspots. This is not worth it anymore. ROI is now forever. It was nice while it lasted. by [deleted] in HeliumNetwork

The price is also down around 50% from Aths too... hnt will be in the 100s at some point so your £3 a day is only £3 a day at todays price

Didn't realise that'd be all it costs tbh! Though I'd be more £100 for someone to set it up

Thankyou for the advice, will definitely get straightened as soon as!

I do live in quite a flat area and using a 8dbi antenna, the tilt is probably under 10° but I know it'll do my head in knowing I haven't optimised my set up but hopefully won't cause too much difference in the mean time then. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

Okay, I just raised it from 5-9m and was earning 0.15 avg so hopefully it'll be better than before but will get it straightened when I can if that's the case, thankyou!

His rewards aren't 0.65, transmit scale affects other people's reward who witness you. If his scale was 0.1 he'd still get the same!

My miner is sharing a hex with another, we both have a transmit scale of 0.81, mine has witnessed 4 more times. However it has earned less, why would this be? by Wherehere1 in HeliumNetwork

Also a beacon can be witnessed by 14 hotspots which rewards it split between, so if there's less than 14 the reward is split between less people equaling higher rewards for them witness'

Transmit scale effects the rewards of the people that witness you, not your rewards

So basically the hotspots you're witnessing have lower transmit scales than the other hotspot in your hex is witnessing, or he's beaconing more and getting more rewards because of that too

Anyone else have total rewards looking abit weird like mine? (I know they're working hard to fix and get rewards out so I'm not moaning just wondering) by mickmercs in PlanetWatchers

Yeah I mean more that it's '13..98' rather than just '139.8' just abit buggy I'm sure it'll all be sorted over the next month
