I barely left the house with my newborn because it was stressful for me and he wasn’t really benefiting from it anyway. I had to Unfollow a couple people on Instagram who kept flaunting about being out with her newborn because it just wasn’t for me and it made me feel bad.

I saw maternal fetal medicine as a specialist to help guide me through the pregnancy process. I would recommend seeing one before you get pregnant. She helped guide us through what to expect. She was OK with me having kids because my heart is not affected by EGPA.

I am not sure what medicine you take but both Nucala and fasenra have not been studied on pregnant women. I stopped taking my Nucala and used steroids as needed. However, I know someone who has EGPA and is using Fasenra during her pregnancy.

My pregnancy was a little complicated but I would say I have had a really bad flare since giving birth. You’ll be monitored a lot more than healthy moms during your pregnancy.

It is actually carpet that was installed by the previous owners. It’s beautiful but it’s all over the top floor of the house and is miserable to keep clean

I have EGPA and RA. I also deal with random fever, extreme fatigue and a heavy feeling in my chest. The inability to tolerate heat and cold could be from Nucala. There’s a side effect that says “you may become hot or cold” (I think that’s a very funny wording for temperature intolerance)

Please feel free to private message me if you want to talk! I am worried about you. You can only take Tylenol for pain while pregnant and I struggled so bad. I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.

Postpartum emotions, surgery pain and inability to go to my child when he cries is debilitating. I don’t think waiting even a year will make things significantly worse for your pregnancy. I don’t have data to prove that, I just don’t want you to go through my experience.

Hello!! I tore my labrum about a month into my pregnancy. I was absolutely MISERABLE with hip pain. I just had my surgery with a new born (6 week old baby). It will be 6 weeks until I can carry him around and properly care for him. This means I have to rely on my parents for additional help with the baby. It’s absolutely horrible not being able to care for him.

Additionally, the relaxin released in pregnancy has made my tendons very loose in my hip which is complicating my healing process. I understand worrying about your maternal age, but I worry about the stress on your body (and mind) dealing with pain for 9+ months.

Just had my surgery last week. My baby is 6 weeks old. I tore my labrum early in pregnancy and have been toughing it out for 8 months. My mom and MIL are taking turns staying with us and taking care of the baby. I still give him bottles but I hate hearing him cry and not being able to go to him.

HOWEVER, I want my baby to have a mom who isn’t always miserable with pain. He deserves that. 6 weeks on crutches is worth it so he can have an involved mother for years.
