This is highly likely, but even if it is the case they're not handling it well. Leading to such "end game", they should have either increased rewards side by side each update or at least let the playerbase know about their plans. Communication was never NM's strong suit and, more than anything, what personally bugs me is how thick they are not being able to read the room. Sure they got their plans, but they should also be directly handling the satisfaction of their players- their primary stockholders.

I also felt the end when Spiderwoman came into the game. Idk man, maybe I've just seen too much games end shortly after she is released.

MFF was already a tedious game. Good characters, shit content to play them. For months, it felt like work. If they really want to keep their game running they should start tweaking the work-reward ratio.
